Anyone got the "pretty knitted dress" from boden for their dd?

My dd has very specific requirements for the dress she wants. It must be pink and have long sleeves. Also it's got to be warm as she strips everything off (apart from her current dress) as soon as she gets in the house. Jonny just sent me his latest catalogue and the "pretty knitted dress" seems to fit the bill. If you have it, a few questions.....

Catalogue says it is hand wash only, but do you think this is really true? Not sure I could be arsed with that.

Does it moult hideously like some of the reviews suggest?

Is it nice?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions for dresses?

we have the purple one. it is very lovely. we're a bit more careful than usual about eating in it etc. and i haven't needed to wash it yet. i don't mind hand washing but would prolly stick it in the machine on woollens. it hasn't moulted at all. it is soft and no reports of itchiness.

it is apparently ideal for climbing trees in

If you're thinking Boden, what about the Velour Hooded Dress in pink/poppy?

PortAndLemon · 25/11/2008 01:02

Bah.

That Dora link again.

Gorgeous, but sadly even more £££ than the boden one

more from Uttam

Uttam again

I'm holding out for the sale personally!

Thanks all. Some great suggestions here.

Given that my dd will probably wear the dress day and night, I think I will need to go for one that goes in the wash. Unfortunately that seems to rule out all the lovely knitted dresses from Uttam and also probably the Boden one. However, both the Mama Bebe and the hooded boden one are definite possibilities. Will also check out Debenhams - wouldn't have thought to look in there. Not too sure about Dora though....
