Pic on profile.

How would I accessorise it? Need advice on shoes, bag, jewellery, cardigan/shawl, everything really! Is black ok for a wedding?

The wedding is here and is an afternoon ceremony and evening reception. It is in December.

more shoes

shrug

IMO perfect shoes

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 26/11/2008 12:52

I am LOVING those shoes, La Trucha!!

claireybee · 26/11/2008 15:44

Ooh I want those perfect shoes!

Hmm, do you think I need day shoes and evening shoes?!

Right so today I tried on a silver shrug and it looked awful-far too light and sparkly for the dress. I also tried on the wallis gold one (they didn't have the silver) and it looked better but not great. So I'm thinking I need a darker non sparkly shrug (possibly like the one LaT linked to...).

Any others you can find for me?

difficult to tell about colour

hmm?

The perfect one existeth not in my knowledge. Monsoon probably the best. There MUST be one.

H&M have some little sparkly shrugs, one in silver I'm pretty sure but wool.... so not sure if fits in? Was impressed with their cheap partywear selection though...

LaTrucha · 26/11/2008 17:54

What about a wrap?

claireybee · 26/11/2008 17:57

Yep as long as I feel warm, I really feel the cold so am already apprehensive!

Monsoon one would be best for that then.

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/11/2008 18:32

How about faux fur ? here

or crochet

LaTrucha · 27/11/2008 16:35

Had a look at the angora cardi when in Monsoon today. It's a lighter colour than it looks on the website. I now think it's v good.

claireybee · 27/11/2008 16:40

Thanks LaT, will have a look at it. It's quite expensive though...

sorry claireybee - waaaay too casual (imo!!) for a wedding. It does look very like a beach dress to me.

I think its fine to wear black to a wedding, I always thought it was a no no but at least 5 - 6 women wore black dresses to my wedding this year and they looked fab!!

LaTrucha · 27/11/2008 17:17

Well,, that's what's good about window shopping for others

claireybee · 27/11/2008 19:01

Just curious, those that think it is too casual what would you wear to a wedding?

not enough detail to say if it;s too casual or not

if it is a woven cotton dress with ribbon trim is is on the more casual side but would be fine with closed shoes and a cardigan

if it is a smarter fabric it would be fine anyway

I have cotton dresses that shape for the beach
