What's your favourite shampoo and conditioner?

Never really found great shampoo and conditioner - I just try some, it's ok, then move on and try some more. Would like to find great products that I will just use again and again to make my hair all shiny!

So, what do you use that you love using and give great results - recommendations please before I spend more money trying ones that are just ish.

I'm still looking for a good shampoo but American Cream conditioner from Lush is amazing stuff

TheProvincialLady · 02/12/2008 18:00

I agree with you Pruners - Shampure is the business

Charles Worthington Brilliant Shine- costs around £4.99 but lasts ages. Best i've had in ages.

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 02/12/2008 18:10

Paul Mitchell stuff is lovely

Yunyun · 05/12/2008 23:27

I absolutely love Dead Sea Magik Shampoo. Leaves hair light and shiny without it getting oily again too quickly.
Pricey though.. Just bought a 330ml bottle from Debenhams today, even with 10% off it was £6.70.

I also like the John Freida Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock 'glosser'.

lulururu · 06/12/2008 06:37

john frieda john frieda john frieda! all ranges! reasonably priced too from boots. glosser wash particularly good after shamp/cond it.

bluebump · 06/12/2008 10:41

I've never found a range I loved as much as John Frieda's beach blonde one, sadly now discontinued (and going for mega bucks on ebay.) I think Aussie comes a strong second, and I quite like the smell of the hard soap looking ones from Lush.

MrsMattie · 06/12/2008 10:43

Herbal Essence, with Aussie Miracle intensive stuff every fortnight or so. I've used all sorts of expensive shampoos and conditioners and never been impressed.

Anna8888 · 06/12/2008 10:44

At the moment a John Frieda volumising shampoo for very blonde hair, and matching conditioner. Very good indeed.

SeamusTheElf · 06/12/2008 10:44

Aussie - it smells so goooood.

SeamusTheElf · 06/12/2008 10:44

I quite like the packaging of it!

roundcornvirgin · 06/12/2008 10:46

I like MOP

cheekysealion · 06/12/2008 18:31

i use the pink elvive light.. which is for hair that gets greasy quickly

i also use Aussie- currently £2.00 a bottle in asda( actually i need to go and stock up)

GrapeJelly · 07/12/2008 20:19

Mostly Aussie but sometimes Neutrogena

smartiejakeonachristmascake · 07/12/2008 20:28

I use the Kerastase stuff for brittle hair. T'is expensive but Tresseme and Pantene strip my hair of any condition and turn my hair to straw.

The only supermarket brand I will consider is the Herbal Essence ones but not for prolonged use.

KatyMac · 07/12/2008 20:31

I love Aussie stuff

DD has it for dry hair & it has really changed her hair - it is much more manageable & soft

Mine is the ordinary one & my hair is very shiny & soft & smells nice - I can sometimes go 5 or 6 days between washing

hellywobs · 09/12/2008 17:07

I love Aveda shampoos.

SmallShips · 09/12/2008 17:11

I use Kerastase for dry hair usually, love it, but ATM am using head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair, which is also good, hair is soft and shiny.

zoopas · 15/12/2008 23:26

Definitely the "Aussie" range, especially their Miracle Moist shampoo, I don't need a separate conditioner with that, it's great and smells lovely, too.

Kristingle · 16/12/2008 00:26

john frieda stuff is on offer in asda right now - 3 for £10

ggirlsbells · 16/12/2008 00:46

I never notice any difference whatever I use.
The intense conditioners you get in with hair dye alwasy makes my hair really shiny though.
