this from Cottontraders!! of all places, but for the price and free postage, if it means no more wet hair or damp trousers, I'll risk it. Hoping it's as sleek as they say, don't really want to look like a bag of maris pipers.

There was also aparka which I considered.

I ended up with this it is lovely and confy and warm but was more than i wanted to spend (WOULD HAVE GOT YOURS FOR THE PRICE)

it is more cream/ligh light beige than the white in photo but i am worried i may ruin it

No, not totally waterproof Whizz but that's not a major concern since I'm not one who goes for long walks in the rain & I'm sylph-like so the extra 5 stone will helpfully weigh me down in the wind . Hopefully, it should do the job between home and school.

I did briefly look at ski-wear KatieDD but couldn't find anything that wasn't luminescent or pastel coloured.

I'm tempted....I suppose I'd have a brolly too if it was raining

The pretentiously named hazelnut is the colour I ordered. I have yet to see a truly stylish hooded coat that isn't a bit Kill Kenny, except maybe on the Scottish Widows advert. Will wait to see what it's like though am more concerned I'm going to look like caterpillar pupa!

those peterstorm ones are nice. I'd like that long white one if it came in black or navy or even maroon. I don't look right in white (what with being a slutty chav i spose)

They've got one just like the Uniqolo one in Primark and it's about £16. Of course you'll be toasty warm but have to live with the guilt of knowing your coat was probably made by a child in India being paid a pittance....

mine is a kana beach one.cant find pic.i inherited it from my sister.its toasty warm and waterproof.plus i dont look like kenny or a chav

Arrived today & I'm pleased with it although haven't seen it in natural light yet,just a quick try on while the dcs were going to bed. I ordered the 14 as I'm a 12 everywhere except norks and I'm glad I did as it's fits perfectly across the chest. And yes it looks fine with the hood up The only thing that is a bit disconcerting is it's more padded than anything else I own. The taller you are probably the easier it is to carry off.
