Tanning Moisturising stuff

I have a bottle of Johnsons Holiday Skin. I used it a couple of times but I felt it didn't look natural and it stunk after an hour or so of being on (like a horrible, sweaty smell).

Has anyone percivered with stuff like this? what is the end result if you keep at it?

I'm considering giving it another go for a night out next weekend.

Not a fan of the johnsons one, but I use St Tropez Everyday and this is excellent. Still does have the self-tan smell, but gives a lovely natural tan.

Dove do one that smells better but I still don't rate it much.

Friend of mine recomended Rimmel's Sun Shimmer Instant Tan Make-up. You don't build it up like the Moisturising stuff, merely apply like a foundation almost and washes off. Make sure you moisturise lots and lots on where you are going to apply it beforehand. I used it several times in the summer when going to weddings and was subtle enough to cover my strap lines nicely. Did have a tendancy to tan fingertips a tad, but lots of soap soon sorted that

didn't like johnson's or dove. nivea one is quite good.

sunshimmer is fab but very messy, you have to work fast before it dries in. and stay out of rain- it'll streak!

whitening toothpaste removes the stains from the palms.

L'oreal's (weird with two apostrophes) does a nice gradual self-tan that smells nice.
