I bought a bag for me - the big pewter one. And 2 necklaces. 2 tops and a pair of cords for DS.

Happy!

NomDePlume · 12/12/2008 09:18

Oooh, I do like the big pewter tote but DH has bought me a handbag for xmas so I know he'll be out out if I buy another one !

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 12/12/2008 09:33

I bought the green wellies and a couple of tops and a shirt for dh - most of it will probably go back.

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 12/12/2008 09:35

I like it too NDP - bought it as I fly a lot and my normal bag is too small - this should fit the extras and the colour will go with anything.

cazzybabs · 12/12/2008 09:37

humm - I looked yesertday lots in stock - today by 8.30 must of the stuff I wanted had gone. still bought a nre jumper, a skirt and some tights for dd3

ohreindeerwhatamessysleigh · 12/12/2008 09:58

Just bought lots of things for the dcs. Almost all the things I wanted for me had already gone.

santasinmywaistband · 12/12/2008 10:04

right have just spent £200
Got 3 dresses for DD and twin pack of nighties
2 t-shirts and 2 trousers for ds
belts for ds
2 tops and a zip through top and jeans for me

Actually writing it down it doesn't seem too bad now - and it was very therapeutic and made getting up with a banging hangover a little more pleasant.

I don't really have the money for this, but do think the stuff lasts, and with handme downs form my dsis and her own boden frenzy, I think next years shopping is now done

SilentTerror · 12/12/2008 10:08

Not much for me this year
Wideleg jeans(already have and love)
Tunic thing
Isabella top in mink as have purple and worn it loads.
Have bought hoody, tee shirt, trousers for DS and knitted dresses, tops and skirts for DDs.
Very restrained for me,but bought what bits I wanted ages ago with 20% discount and now am being good

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 12/12/2008 11:45

NDP-What colour do you have the cord coat in?

NomDePlume · 12/12/2008 12:06

The blue, is it called marine ?

I originally ordere the pear but it was too acidic for me. Made me look a bit jaundiced ! I was a bit reluctant to go for the blue because I thought it was a bit boring but now I have it, I love it. The lining is fab [shallow]

NomDePlume · 12/12/2008 12:08

the red is just too bright and cheap looking

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 12/12/2008 12:09

Thanks - I quite liked the look of the pear but don't do acid colours. Might go for the marine then.

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 12/12/2008 12:10

Is the fit ok?

NomDePlume · 12/12/2008 12:12

The fit is interesting.

I am a 12, 5'7" with an hourglass shape, big boobs and a small back (relatively speaking). It looks ok on me, I think. The only thing I do wish, if I'm honest is that the funny empire ruching thing wasn't as pronounced. It wouldn't be great on a pear shaped person, or anyone remotely 'hippy'

I am hippy with norks, sounds ideal!

Cocodrillo · 12/12/2008 12:26

Ok, I should fess up to the full extremity of this mornings purchases.

Most will go back. Maybe.

For the DCs:

knitted dress each
Tights each
Couple of cardies each
Nighties
Trousers for DD2
Jresey coat each
Purple one is nice
Couple of long-sleeve tops

For DC3, of unknown flavour:

teddy button-through

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 12/12/2008 12:28

I was late getting to ds to school (only by a couple of minutes)

lucykate · 12/12/2008 12:33

i fully intended not to buy anything in the sale, but have been sucked in and got dd a knitted dress, a jersey coat in pink, dh a shirt, and me a knitted henley (which i am a bit dubious about as not had much luck with boden knitwear in the past due to it being too short in the boden from the off and then shrinkage)

lucykate · 12/12/2008 12:34

oh crap - too short in the body

Cocodrillo · 12/12/2008 12:36
Grin
lucykate · 12/12/2008 12:57

actually, it is the st malo henley that i've ordered, but am now wondering if i should have got the bigger size to allow for shrinkage

has anyone else got one?, does it size up big or small?

Santaslittlehelpersmum · 12/12/2008 13:08

I went to the store in Walton and have spend another £240 must hide some from DH They had so much more in store loads of boys Pjs got DS1 4 pairs also three pairs of different baggies for DS2 and one of their funky snowsuits for him oh and a puffer jack like DS1 spent way too much thats £340 in total oh well its interest free until May

ALovelySongbirdInaPearTree · 12/12/2008 13:10

prettyknitted dress i ordered this, i nearly order it when it was full price but i had to get pink as had run out of purple.

santasinmywaistband · 12/12/2008 13:22

I ordered mine in 2 batches, both seemed to go through, but I only have a confirmation e-mail for the first lot.
Should I ring and find out if they accepted the second order, re-order or wait???
