I know its scummy, but I never used to wash my face before bed.......................

Would go to bed with a full face of make-up, wash it off in the morning and immediately slap more on and I never suffered from spots, so a couple of months ago I decided I ought to start washing my face at night, I did, and ended up with a face full of spots for my effort. Last week the kids were ill all week, and I was so exhausted I stopped washing my face at night again, and guess what? yep, the spots have gone?? So should I continue to be scummy or spotty? cast your votes.............NOW!

sounds like it was whatever you were washign with that was the culprit

take your makeup off with remover or wipes but don;t wash?

Tinker · 20/11/2008 22:40

I never do it - never have, never will. Bloody moisturiser crap and all that - what a load of old shite

NotanOtter · 21/11/2008 00:00

i could not sleep with a scrap on

wash it off - makes for better sleep

I have a friend who never washes her face

just lets the water from morning shower rinse it off

she wear tinted moisturiser and eyeshadow/mascara everyday

her skin looks great but does feel dry and rough..looks good though

I wash mine everynight or I do get spots

kettlechip · 21/11/2008 15:14

Eew. Sorry, I think that is a little scummy but maybe it's because we have white bedding, no way I could leave slap on overnight or I'd be washing pillowcases constantly.

I use one of those foaming face washes plus clinique take the day off remover, which works better than anything else I've found. Bit of moisturiser or Protect and perfect serum, slick of lip balm. Job done. It really takes no more than two or three minutes.

lilacclaire · 21/11/2008 15:26

Leave it on, I prefer to be scummy to but it gives me spots, so take it off when I can be bothered.

VivaLaPotPourri · 21/11/2008 15:29

THe only time I remove make up is when I have mascara panda eyes. Although I don't wear it much anymore now. COr, where do you people find the time? I count my blessing when I can brush my teeth without DS2 crying for a feed! Scummy all the way! I am similar. Once I start all the cleansing/toning/moisturising I go bright red and sore, and that's with sensitive stuff.

WowOoo · 21/11/2008 15:32

I don't think I could sleep if I hadn't washed my face. I still get the odd spot; should have grown out of it by now..
