saw a woman in tesco today wearing first one and she looked like a sack of tatties...

Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 18:36

Thanks! what do you think of t'other one

OP posts:
RGPargy · 20/11/2008 18:37

The top one seems quite short, unless you have thin legs (mine are tree trunks so i wouldn't wear it!).

The second one is ok if it were a top, but (IMO) it's too much as a whole dress, if that makes sense?

Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 18:42

Don't have thin legs. I just want a nice dress!
help then?

I think this would be more flattering for your build. You can wear it over trousers too, iyl.
hither

Majeika · 20/11/2008 18:46

Second one is much nicer than the first and I think i might get the second one for myself!

first one looks like it could cling to thighs and bum which you wont want!

second one you could wear with trews as well

hf128219 · 20/11/2008 18:47

Neither of them. What about this?

Great minds!!

Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 18:56

OOh, you don't think that is abit much for supermarket/doctors/library? that's the only place I go I could wear it!

OP posts:
Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 18:57

what about this one too?

OP posts:
RGPargy · 20/11/2008 19:07

Ooo i like that one that mrsmaidamess and hfkdjfkdjakjdkfd put up! I think you could either dress it up or dress it down. If you wore it with jeans, for example, it would be very smart/casual and would look lovely!

Dont like the one you put up, i'm afraid. I think it looks like a dressing gown. Sorry!

hf128219 · 20/11/2008 19:18

I think the Kimono one is 'too busy'. The one I like as Pargy said could be dressed up or down. I've seen it in the shops and it's lovely. Nice quality too.

Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 19:41

THanks. I am rubbish at 'nice' clothes. give me a pair of jeans and a v neck top adn I am away!
Could I wear it with black ankle boots? My fave shoes are burgundy so that probably wouldn't work, woudl it?

OP posts:
bozza · 20/11/2008 19:51

I think burgundy shoes would work with the dress. Wht sort of ankle boots?

Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 19:56

Black zip ups, low heel with a silver buckle effect type thing.
I love my burgundy clarks shoes!

OP posts:
Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 20:16

that only goes up to a size 18

OP posts:
brimfull · 20/11/2008 20:24

Chirpygirl · 20/11/2008 20:29

I like that, ggirl. Was really wanting to take advantage of M+S sale but if I dont then might have a closer look!

OP posts:
princessmel · 20/11/2008 20:31

M and S are clothes are definitely generous.

pluto · 21/11/2008 19:49

I like the second one - I saw someone wearing it today and wanted to buy it but I am 27 weeks pg so no go for me atm. Do you think I could buy it now and bf comfortably reasonably discreetly when babe arrives in Feb?

BarbaraWoodlouse · 21/11/2008 20:17

I like the second one on the OP however IME "mock wrap" tends to look more flattering on large norks than real wraps which can pull a bit.

let us know how you get on. Something like this may help. large nork musthave

Pluto, I have to say never found wrap tops good to feed in as you tend to feel a bit exposed. Something you can pull up is much easier. So not dresses (unless you are a true exhibitionist)
