Billie Piper's coat

I love it and am desperate to know where she got it. Does anyone have any ideas where to get one even similar?

Lawrence looks in need of a good bowl of broth.

I bet it was expensive and from America or something. It does not look too difficult to try and make.

Look. We live up a local road for local people. The only eyes that would see said coat/parka are 200 cattle and a handful of sheep.

I would be the darling of the WRI.

?WRI
Disclaimer, am not stylisto, have wee coat obsession as live in small German village where fashion... well, kinder not to say or I may weep too...
And cycle everywhere so need waterproof/windproof/bum-covering coats. Sigh.
Want something which is stylish and I can twirl in.
Can't remember last time I twirled in a coat.

controlfreakyBANG · 20/11/2008 11:29

get a grip otter. listen to the voice of mn. that coat is MINGING. instead of talking about dying it purple (???!) have you thought about just buying a NICE coat instead. m and s ltd collection had lovely blue parka style v recently...

Women's Rural Institute - the high point of our social calender 'round these parts'.

I am not the flavour of the month with them after commenting that the scramble for tea and baking was like being in a mosh pit at a Psycho Killers gig. - They took umbrage at the word 'pit'.

They all wear anoraks.

I think she looks fabulous, coat aside.

GentleOtter · 20/11/2008 11:34

I liked it but will listen to the voice of reason. sigh

finknottle · 20/11/2008 11:37

Wince at anoraks. V popular here...

Er, re-read thread & you're a bit at the colour, and think the white piping is awful... maybe the love affair is fading?

GentleOtter · 20/11/2008 11:44

Maybe it was a one hour stand andfearofcontrolfreak

Oh Otter I like it. I really like it. But I make a lot of my own clothes. And I live up an unmade road on a farm. So, it appeals to a certain type of yokel perhaps.

GentleOtter · 20/11/2008 11:50

Am instantly cheered up ShowOfHands.

Let's start a trend.....

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 20/11/2008 11:53

Style, this lot have no idea. It's hard work being trend setters.

But, seriously, where did she get it?

May phone Chris Evans' drivetime show and ask him to find out. Is that a bit desperate?

controlfreakyBANG · 20/11/2008 11:53

otter, soh, maybe you could get together and start a country clothing business from an empty barn or summat, using old grain sacks and baling twine..... for that niche yokel (your word!) market..... i bet that is what the coat bp has is fashioned (ha!) from.... she is clearly in a post natal hormonal frenzy..... you?

ShowOfHands · 20/11/2008 11:55

Old grain sacks and baling twine = recycling. Very now, very hip.

Now, when Red and Eve interview us will we wear our wellies? This is cupcake/bunting, the next level.

controlfreakyBANG · 20/11/2008 11:56

i think it's a winner! otter can dye them purple with.... err... woad and blackberries

ShowOfHands · 20/11/2008 12:02

Good idea. Dyes do funny things to my septic tank. I think ponchos may feature heavily in this enterprise. I'm bringing back tie-dye in the Spring Range.

Oh we're going to be rich.

controlfreakyBANG · 20/11/2008 12:05

can i be marketing manager? please? i wont say anything "undermining" about them....

Lizzylou · 20/11/2008 12:05

Gosh, Jack...swoon

GentleOtter · 20/11/2008 12:05

Ahem. It has been known that I do indeed dye wool and stuff with woad.

We don't have television reception up here so the nights are long and the men are lusty.

Yes, ShowOfHands, it is The Future. We can sell our overpriced goods to Toast for that authentic just- out- of- a -barn look. We will become filthy rich.

2point4kids · 20/11/2008 12:06

I know exactly where you can buy one, but cant tell you as its so vile.
I'm saving you from yourself

GentleOtter · 20/11/2008 12:09
