A couple of new facial products I've tried that I really love

My skin has been totally turned around in the last week by a couple of new things. One is Neutrogena Wave, a buzzy battery operated thing that you attach a cleansing pad to. I was worried it would be too harsh for my sensitive skin, but its doing the unheard of and clearing away blackheads leaving soft soft skin. And the other is Soap and Glory's Make Yourself Youthful Serum. The woman behind London's Bliss Spa made this range. Anyway, I am all glowy and plumped of skin and wanted to let MN know, since I waste far more money than I spend on things that turn out not to work....

Blimey. Have heard of the Soap and Glory range, but not the neutrogena thingy. Interesting.

Just googled it and, as usual, it is cheaper in the US. annoying.

Am 33. Have ageing but also oily sometimes spotty skin and from time to time its v sensitive (a joy!) The wave is the gentlest but deepest cleaner in the world. I had a sudden flare up reaction to some other product a couple of days before I used it and I wondered if it would be too harsh but I was over eager to use it and it was a complete dream and actually calmed my skin down while thoroughly cleaning it and plumping it up and making it look really healthy. I'm really really pleased with both purchases!!

thanks

The Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful serum is actually Marcia Kilgore's (I think that's right) pride and joy (she's the founder of Bliss) - I read something in the Times recently where she said this one product was the coming together of everything she's learned about skin and she's really proud of it. I have to say I am really pleased.

thanks for this

how often are you using the wave

cluelessnchaos · 17/11/2008 22:02

Have just ordered both so if I am not beautiful I will chuck a huge strop.

Pillow · 17/11/2008 22:04

I'm using it morning and night. At night I'm using a Simple cream wash beforehand to get rid of mascara etc first. I'm sorry to rave so much, but I spend all day just touching my skin at the moment, as it feels all plumpy and lovely just like my baby's. I just hate spending money on things that don't work, and when they are brilliant I get all excited...

Clueless - I did NOT promise beautiful!! I am plumpy of skin, but NOT beautiful!!

cluelessnchaos · 17/11/2008 22:06

oh shit, 26 quid wasted.

Pillow · 17/11/2008 22:08

Christiana, i am just using the wave then the serum at the moment as my skin had had such an awful flare up just before I started them so I was wary of what I was putting on. And it seems to be enough, moisture wise. But I am generally very oily.

Clueless, I think what matters here is the starting point. Are you almost beautiful but could do with a bit of plumpy help skin wise? If so, you're set. Do babies and children scream and run away when they see you because you are so hideous? If so, your £26 might not turn your shrekess into a fiona.

Alright, DH is telling me to stop raving and step away from MN. But when something is good and actually works, you want to tell the world, do you know what I mean??
