I need to find something for the work Christmas do - pics on my profile [gulp]

Hello again

Thank you to those who replied to my thread re the M&S 'catsuit'. I got DH to take some pictures last night and THANK GOD I did because I have made the humiliating discovery of back fat .

But I still need something to wear to this do - evening, quite dressy. I have put the pics on my profile of the catsuit (front view only you'll be relieved to hear) and the Joseph dress I wore last year (it's 7 years old, I bought it for my hen night, not planning to spend that much again).

Has anyone got any ideas? I'm 5'4", slim hips but dreadful tummy, no waist. I already have spanx and a fantastic basque (under the Joseph dress) so I can wear something that incorporates that. If the worst comes to the worst I can wear the Joseph dress again, but I'd like to try something new.

Thank you in advance...

You'd look lovely in green, or electric blue, with your gorgeous hair.

janeite · 17/11/2008 20:49

Principles blue

angelene · 17/11/2008 20:50

Thanks Jane! I can wear green, and love it, and all the autumn colours, but for some reason I've never been able to wear blue. Turqoise is the nearest I can get unfortunately.

I do love colour but I often gravitate back to black (as it were).

try teal - bet it'd look fab on you

angelene · 17/11/2008 20:58

I can never find a decent fit in jewel colours - the ASOS ones seem to be too short, or just bad fitting.

The Principles one could be good - I am more than up for something cleavagey!

hadn't looked at janeite's link - that principles dress is FAB. If I had any boobs (and anywhere to go in it!) I'd but it in a flash - it's great

buy it buy it and post some pics!

The only worry on that is the waist, I really have no waist at all, I am quite thick around there. Although I could spanx it I suppose?

Green one the waist looks a bit more fitted and holdy in-ish on this one

angelene · 18/11/2008 10:16

Ooh, I like that one, more cleavage though!

What about this?

I vote for the green - is fabulous - the gold looks like you are trying to stay in your (black) comfort zone too much. think the green would look amazing on you and be much more interesting

god, I really want an xmas do to go to now!

Don't do a waisted dress if you have no waist!
