Right - I've bought this dress for DH's Christmas do in a couple of weeks.

In dress code is "party wear" so what do I need to make it look fab?

What colour shoes? What jewelry? etc etc.

Thanks.

Is your hair long or short?

Sometimes with print dresses it's a good idea to not wear anything around your neck

A nice cuff though

Gold accessories I think

MrsBadger · 17/11/2008 11:41

it looks fab already

agree patterned clotehs shouldn;t be over-accessorized

earrings and a cuff good plan but bronze or antiqey gold, nothing too shiny

maybe bronze shoes too, perhaps with a peep toe. Def not strappy sandals with a dress that short IMO.

brown/gold ?

LilRedWG · 17/11/2008 12:09

Hair is shoulder length and curly (dark blonde? I'll be wearing it down as that's how DH likes it.

Great shoes aefondkiss!

I think some nice dangly gold earings are all you need.

Just remembered I have a great burnished bronze cuff somewhere. Not with my other jewelry, so need to look in suitcases (usually where I find lost stuff).

Thanks guys. DH will not believe me about the necklace though - he thinks you need necklaces with everything, so need to start preparing him for the shock now.

Well it's all academic now. The dress arrived - it fits perfectly and looks okay, in fact it would look great if I was going to a wedding or Christening but is not THE ONE for DH's Christmas bash - I now have less than two weeks to find a new dress and all accessories.
