One of my friends said she polishes her little girls shoes. I was rather .

Am I a total slattern for never polishing my litle boys shoes?! If they are caked in mud I clean them, but they have never seen polish.

Christ - I'm meant to buy dd shoes? I thought the waxed newspapers tied to her feet with string were quite adequate...

Have bought pretty pink and purple shoes, but to be honest by the time they really need a polish- she's grown out of them. Prefer to buy trainers and stick 'em in the washing machine on a regular basis!

I have hardly ever cleaned ds's shoes, but dd seems to be much more hardwearing and her winter boots have been polished at least twice already and look terrible again.

My Dad used to line up ours and do them each day (now wonder if this was a ploy to escape the breakfast routine!!)
