Right now im sitting with conditioning treatment in my hair with my head wrapped in cling film , I have one night a week where dp is away through work and tend to use it for upkeep for want of a better word !

When I go to bet, will have conditioning gloves on and my gum shields (as dp calls them) to whiten my teeth, also will apply my special overnight deodrant which stops any sweat for a month at a time.

In my defence, im pot ugly and need the extra help, but am I the only one that goes to these lengths or are there more 'fanaticts' out there, if so, share share share

I have a 9 week old baby and am lucky if I manage to brush both my hair and my teeth on the same day. Last haircut was in August, 3 weeks before he was born. I did have an appointment booked for end of Sept, but he was early...

Um, yes you are the only one.
I'm sure there are other enthusiasts, btu not me.
If it makes you feel good though, why not?

bikerunski, I had to plan a wee when ds was that age, it doesn't last honestly.

I've shaved my legs 3 times since becoming a mum and ds is 3

omg!!!
a splash of water is all i do - but i have great skin
i have a 3.11yr old and a 6mth old and my last cut was august (the beginning of) too for my birthday.
I do like to have a bath every other night though
I don't like the idea of those super-duper-deodorants, there may be links to cancer with them because your body is supposed to sweat. I personally think, the less chemicals you put on your skin the better.

RedSparklersOnHerHead · 13/11/2008 21:51

my leg hair is probably near half an inch long by now too - last time i shaved them was a few weeks ago

Don't think you're the only one... there was a thread a day or two ago in Chat called "what do you do in the shower", and the OP listed her entire shower routine which was quite extensive and which she apparently does every day. Loads of MNers posted to say they do similar (although lots also posted saying they don't have time), anyway, if it makes you feel good, why not? Go for it and enjoy!
(And don't say you're pot ugly, I bet you have at least one beautiful feature!!)

I have a freind with two children (under 4) who not only manages to shower and style her hair every day, she also is a bottle blonde but I have yet to see her with "roots" showing, shaves her legs and underarms every other day and never leaves the house without a full face of make-up and looking frankly perfect. Her house is also well kept, her children always well turned out and she works a f5 days week condensed into 4 days.

I don't think she sleeps though.
reverse all those statements and you have me.

ROFL at lilaclaire
You know what - I don't care. I'm loving being a mum and being at home on mat leave with DS. So what if my hair's a mess - he wouldn't recognise me otherwise!

I get dressed, that's my beauty regime. And if anyone speaks to me in the morning I growl at them.
