because I reckon I spend an average of about £50-£60 a month including shoes, bags, accessories. That seems like not a lot but dh spends even less and I suspect he thinks I'm a bit frivolous.

lol MadamDeathstare my lack of shopping also shows.

My budget wont allow for clothes sadly. I did buy a pair of mens jeans for myself a couple of weeks ago from the charity shop though...£3.50 and they are fab. Great fit and almost new me thinks!

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 14/11/2008 10:21

This year so far £148.00 on me.

So £12 a month, that's quite good really, may have to buy a couple of tops before the year ends.

I bet I have spent at least £250 on the kids though.

I love buying kids clothes.

currently zilch on me, about £25-50 on DD depending on whether she needs shoes or not. Had to do a big shop for her though as she had a growth spurt and needed warmer clothes, AND shoes (spent £130 . Last thing I bought, pair of jeans from Jane Norman (yes, shame on me) for £30 and a stringy top for £8, plus another top for £25, in september. Nothing more until xmas.

about £250 per month probably.. sometimes more, sometimes less. Mind you, a fair amount does go back so it might be a bit less. No wonder DH winces when the bill comes in.

BodenGroupie · 15/11/2008 22:52

I've written down everything I've spent on clothes this year just to prove to myself I wasn't spending much - and I was sooooo wrong . DH and I both have £100 a month pocket money - his goes entirely on fags and the pub, mine on clothes - but at least I look nice while I'm sitting at home alone!

dontcallmehon · 15/11/2008 22:55

About £600 but luckily dh doesn't object! I really need to stop impulse buying.

lizandlulu · 16/11/2008 08:48

i spend around £40 a week, just on odds and sods, anything that takes my fancy, but if i go shopping especially for clothes then would hope to take around £200.

i used to buy cheap stuff and if i saw something i liked i would hunt around for a cheaper version, then wish i had bought the better one.

i live with my parents and have hardley any bills which is how i can afford to do it, but am planning to build a house, council permitting, and while i have the free cahs i am making use of it!
