I've just bought a starter pack and I wondered what anyone else who's tried it thought of it....

it made me look shiny and metallic, but I could have had the wrong colour
made all my lines show up more as well
not a good look

Boysarelikedogs had a thread recently - seemed pleased.

Yes, I use the (powder) foundation. I love it - and my skin is in much better condition than it was when I used Chanel matt lumiere. You do need the right colour though...But I think it looks as good, if not better than the others.

Hmmm yeah me too ggirl... strange metallic effect. If I pile on the mineral veil stuff it doesn't look too bad, but without there is an odd sheen. Feels very nice on, not too claggy. I'm still reserving judgement until it's done a whole day, plus I'm very hormonal at the moment so my pores are the size of dinner plates

Thanks for the link jackieno.

Electra, I'm using the light one, which was what was recommended..... the touch of sun stuff is horrendous though, very cruise ship singer. Really brown. I don't have the world's greatest skin so I was hoping it would improve mine a bit, but my Mat Lumiere is winning the battle of the foundations at the moment.

If it's anything like the Lily Lolo mineral powder I use, you need to kind of tap the powder down into the brush before you apply it, and kind of polish it into the skin, and don't apply too much. Don't use it the same way you would ordinary powder. I really like the finish.

What sort of skin do you have, HeadFairy? Consensus on here seems to be that it's best on oily/combination skin, but not so good on dry skins.

TheMadHouse · 11/11/2008 13:17

I use it and really like it, but I am not a make up lover, so only put a bit on. I find it suits me timewise etc

HeadFairy · 11/11/2008 14:25

I do have combination skin jackieno, maybe I'm just applying it badly. I might have to watch the dvd that came with it, if I can get over the cringe factor of watching a dvd on how to apply make up!

I like the product but can't get a colour that suits me. I've got it in "light" and it's still too orange for me.
It definitely seems to suit my skin which is quite oily.
The mineral veil powder seems excellent on me.
