Can I wear a skirt with ankle boots?

I haven't owned a pair of ankle boots since about 1983

I have no idea - bought them to go with jeans etc but is it allowed to wear them with skirts?

They have a chunky heel, round toe, and they come up past the ankle (ie they are not shoots)

You are incredibly trendy and cool
Wearing with an indecently short skirt so nobody notices your footwear

I have seen some youngsters with mini skirts and ankle boots - looking good - but then they are about 19.

I will wear 'em with my jeans.

think they would look okay on a long skirt (so no gap between the hem and the start of the boot) or perhaps very short tight skirt worn with thick woolen tights. But boden/white stuff style knee length skirt NO WAY

I was thinking of short skirt. But on reflection I can't really get away with skirts that short any more anyway.

You're only 35, am sure you can still do short skirts!

i wear my ankle boots with knee length dresses/ skirts. i am 35 and a size 16 i do wear them with very thick tights, though

you can wear those shoe boot things sucessfully or those very loose ankle boots but otherwise not i fear

It was my intuition too.

A lady in a shoe shop tried to sell me some telling me they would go with skirts but I was not convinced.

I went for knee-high black with buckles instead.

But now haven't yet worn THEM either because I don't know what to wear them with - am crap with new stuff!
