Please help me find some warm, comfy and decent-looking lounging trousers...

My current yoga-type trousers are looking a little worse for wear and as my birthday is coming up I am thnking about asking for another pair to replace them.

I'd like something warm and washable and that could handle a trip out of the house without looking like I am wearing PJs.

Any recommendations? I'd rather spend a bit more (or ask DH to ) than go for super cheapies that I'll end up throwing out as they lose their shape, etc.

TIA!

Yep, like those, thanks - was just about to check White Company too.

Am I mad in thinking that I might be able to find a pair made of something like merino wool? Or will I go all bobbly ?

I have a lovely pair from the White Company - they are too long for me and I am clueless at taking things up but I still wear them to do the emergency Tesco dash. They wash up nicely and keep their shape. Also Sweaty Betty are lovely if you want to spend a bit more.

Maybe not quite what you seek, but I have the most snuggly pair of jogging bottoms from Gap; they are slightly too long but soooo cosy and just seem to caress me as I move

marks have some cashmere lounge trews - I saw them in marble Arch on Saturday and they are v soft. But in grey. Hmmm

these aren't exactly top quality but incredibly warm and soft. They have a drawstring hem so you don't have to wear them gathered as in the photo. You can wear them straight leg instead.

Ooh cashmere...mmmmm....sadly don't think DH will stretch that far though. How gorgeous must they feel though?

TheEnormousTurnip - I do actually quite like those, and they def suit my..erm.. casual style but don't think they are quite what I'm looking for as I'd feel like I was wearing PJs out and about. And WHAT is the woman doing wearing leather boots with them?

And yes, Gap prob a good bet. That's where my current ones are from and they've served me well so perhaps I shall look there. Just wanted something a little bit more "special" than what I've currently got, IYSWIM? Something that although I am slobbing, I still feel kind of ok. Like those models in magazines that lie around posing with cups of tea, reading magazines but looking FABULOUS. That's the look I'm going for...although with 14mo DTs perhaps I should just come back down to earth....

Sweaty Betty has nice loungey type things, think MNetters get a 10% discount too.
