Okay, you're off to a desert island and can only take 1 skincare/cosmetic product...tell me what you'd take...

I have been good all year and Father Christmas has promised to save my skin (early 30s, combination, prone to hormonal outbreaks), what is your never-do-without product?

decleor hydra floral face cream. i have used lots of other sorts nad always come back to this

MadameCastafiore · 03/11/2008 12:33

A bloody good sunscrean.

Or Estee Lauder Night Renewal Serum and some Revelation Day Cream - if you are just talking about something for your skin on a day to day basis and you don't live on a desert island!

notnowbernard · 03/11/2008 12:35

On a desert island?

Vaseline lip balm

LoveMyGirls · 03/11/2008 12:36

Duac, prescribed by doctor for my skin, I put it on when i'm due on and it keeps spots at bay if i forget then i egt an outbreak but it does make them heal quicker imo.

MrsThierryHenry · 03/11/2008 12:40

Camellia oil. Get it from Culpepers. Brilliant for combination skin, pure and unadulterated, much better for your skin than those over-perfumed creams. Now my skin's as soft as my baby's .

SmugColditz · 03/11/2008 12:44

moisteriser (st ives)

electra · 03/11/2008 12:45

Tortington · 03/11/2008 12:46

desert island - sun cream

for xmas.... i would buy soemthing far more exciting than skin care products

TrinityRhino · 03/11/2008 12:48

chocolate

MrsMattie · 03/11/2008 12:48

Complete sunblock!

Otherwise, I'd bring a lovely moisturiser with an SPF - Clinique 'Superdefense', maybe.

BabyValentine · 03/11/2008 15:21

Okay, okay, forget about the desert island - more of an overcrowded, maritime climate island ditinctly lacking in palm trees - what's your best beautifying miracle?

OP posts:
BabyValentine · 03/11/2008 15:24

or even distinctly

Apart from the obvious suncream, vaseline. Not 'big' on cosmetics etc.

glitterfairy · 03/11/2008 15:28

Dr Andrew Weils mega mushroom collection from Origins.

Or jo malone face cream with ginseng or MD when in fear of spots! I am a bit fickle.

higgle · 03/11/2008 15:30

Clinique dramaticaly different moisturiser - my mother (82) and I have both used it constantly for 25 years each and are utterly convinced it has worked miracles on our skin - both had combination sensitive skin and now both feel pretty pleased with how our skin is.

NomDePlume · 03/11/2008 15:33

Dior HydrAction Visible Defence Light cream (moisturiser).

Pricey at almost £40 but worth every penny for my spot prone but sensitive skin.
