I am of to the big city on Wednesday

Ok it's Southampton but still a big city to me. Going to John Lewis and having a hankering to have a session on one of the make up counters, any particular one that is reccommended and shoudl I book in advance and if so how?

I know they have loads of choice in JL but I love Chanel makeup.

I was in West Quay the other week, unfortunately had ds with me so not much chance of looking at anything.

JL do Bobbi Brown stuff which I think is really good. I think it's worth booking in advance. Just find the store number on the JL website and ask to be put through to the cosmetics department and see if they can help you.

Keep reading recently that minerals in foundations are IT and make you look umpty years younger and flawless.. Have not yet had a chance to check this out, but apparently there is something called' Lily Lolo??????? and also Bare Essenshals ( yes - peculiar spelling - but not sure how they spell it - not as per the dictionary)

Having been sad and googled all the counters I am going to phone up Bobbi Brown one tomorrow.

Had a lovely makeover at the Bobbi Brown counter, spent far to much but enjoyed every minute of it. thank you.
