What do we think of these jeans? - I can alway take them back!

Bought them this morning, thinking of Christmassy do's, that aren't too dressy.

I have either black stiletto boots or silvery (but not sparkly) wedge sandals I could wear with them. I'd wear either some sort of embellished T-shirt, or a more dressy evening top with them, depending on the occasion.

My concerns are:

  • I had to buy a size 14 - Slouch Jeans from Next, I buy a 10, but have large thighs.
-Are they a bit (whispers, but can't think of a better word) chavvy? The pocket detail is silver and crystal effect. -Are boot-cut OK again now?

I'm almost 40 and 5'7" so although I'm no stick insect, I generally think my figure's OK. What do you think?

I could do without the pocket detail and the shape doesn't inspire.

However I don't think people will pass you in the street and look like this:

Boot cut is still flattering, whether it's uber trendy or not.

Honestly I think they look cheap sorry. I think you cant go wrong with simple dark indigo jeans . Dorothy perkins have some great fitting jeans for £15 much nicer.
With regards to bootcut , you should buy jeans that suit you not that are in fashion. I am slim but curvy and always wear bootcut type jeans they are the most flattering!!

I've just tried the flippin things on again and one of the sparkly bits dropped off, so that's made that decision.

My problem ATM is that I love my slouch jeans, but am having trouble finding some a bit dressier for evenings.

daftpunk · 01/11/2008 13:57

do you like these

or

these

widgypog · 01/11/2008 13:59

these are the jeans I was talking about

these don't look much in the pic but they are a lovely fit and because they are dark they are flattering. I am 33 and wouldn't wear jeans with sparkly bits on as I think they do look cheap and dare I say chavvy. Dark jeans with a nice top look classy . Hope you don't think I am being mean just trying to help
