cord skirt?

Can you find me a cord skirt?

I'm not too fussy about the colour but I do like A-line and not too short.

I have a tummy to disguise and I'm a size 14.

I do not like ruffles or this as it has a mumsy flounce.

Oh and the M+S one is really badly made .. see? I have tried.

Mistral have some nice ones. I saw them in the shop and they are a nice length and good colours.

bikerunski · 31/10/2008 18:45

this from Boden

or this

bikerunski · 31/10/2008 18:48

several from Celtic Sheepskin

MingMingtheWonderPet · 31/10/2008 18:50

Ooo, I like that Mistral one. Have not heard of them before. Wonder where my nearest stockist is?

LaSpooky · 31/10/2008 19:07

Hmm, the mistral one is quite nice but perhaps a bit too casual?

I like the second Boden one but I find their prices too high.

There are some good ones on that celtic site.

I'm looking for something a bit more like this though - but in cord.

LaSpooky I have that exact skirt from M&S in black cord. Is it not on the website?

Anotherbook · 31/10/2008 19:14

This white stuff skirt is a good quality cord which looks better on than the photo.

wordgirl · 31/10/2008 19:19

Oh blimey I have that skirt too! Must have a thing about cord skirts.
Anyway I have had another look at the skirt on the website LaSpooky and I think it is actually cord - it doesn't actually say so but it has the same product number as mine. So your problem may be solved.

ramonaquimby · 31/10/2008 19:35

Kew have loads £45

LaSpooky · 31/10/2008 20:01

Ah haaa! I suppose I could just order it and see if it is cord. I did think it was cord at first and then it just said 'cotton'.

White stiff one is a nice colour.

LaSpooky · 31/10/2008 20:25

hawkhead @ £6

toast

wallis

& now I retire!

RottenOtter · 31/10/2008 21:41

two of those out of stock heated and 79 a bit steep!

Pollyanna · 31/10/2008 21:43

I have the white stuff one - it is nice.

There is a Hobbs dark brown cord skirt - I think it is called Siobhan - it seems identical to that M&S skirt in terms of buttons etc.... (for some reason I can't copy and paste webpages atm).

Also I have a v short cord skirt from La Redoute - it looks good with boots and a long cardigan imo.

LaSpooky · 01/11/2008 09:22

Heated - definitely checking out the £6 one! I like the TOast one but it's really too expensive for me. The Wallis one is good too but am getting out the tape measure to check boot / skirt ratio! Thanks.

Thanks Pollyanna - will check LaRedoute.

Tis out of stock unfortunately.

I've seen the sort of thing you're after in Tesco with the pockets and front buttons, alightly a line, but I don't think it was in cord but a heavy duty something else (very specific I know!)

principles

next but can't remember if that's the one I linked before

patterned monsoon

newlook

kew

LaTrucha · 01/11/2008 13:39

I ordered the Hawkshead one fine. In fact the two colours - just to see!

I like the principles one but someone else on here ordered it and said it was bulky.

I like the monsoon - perhaps a chrissie pressie though.

I LIKE that Kew one LOTS. Hmmm

Am going to order and see the M+S one.
