Spray of hair spray over your tights stops static and more wool/less nylon tights are better ime

I love my wool dresses

nailpolish · 30/10/2008 12:42

aha! great tip

I wear a microfibre slip under my knitted dresses. It stops any cling, and helps the dress to not stick to any lumpy bits of me too.

nailpolish · 30/10/2008 12:44

yes i thought about that
do you wear a full length one?

oh yes, sweater dresses are a big favourite in the FreshHell wardrobe - love them!

and they're brilliant when pregnant, as well. Lots of room for bump and no waistband to fall down constantly.

I don't get any static problems, always wear thick opaques though.

Lizzylou · 30/10/2008 12:49

I need some sweater dresses, but they need to be cheap.
Where can I get them?

i find if one buys your woollen dresses from brora with a silk lining one tends not to suffer such problems.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 30/10/2008 12:51

La Redoute are good for them sometimes

Lizzylou · 30/10/2008 12:52

Hmm, will look on La Redoute, thanks

cuttingmeownthroatdibblaaaargh · 30/10/2008 13:44

Yes, because a waist slip encourages tummy cling ime - the full length slides over it better.

Cheesesarnie · 30/10/2008 13:47

my sister had a lovely purple one on the other day with black tights-she looked stunning.i agree with hair spray.

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 30/10/2008 13:48

Microfibre slips from M&S are my tip - they come in loads of lengths so you can avoid the 'snowing down south' effect.

KristinaM · 30/10/2008 15:57

ladyGp - are you my mother? she is the only person i have heard use that expression

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 30/10/2008 17:21

I got that one from my mother Kristina!

soyabean · 30/10/2008 17:29

I would like one too, but also want cheap, like LIzzylou and ideally just on/above knee. Any other recommendations other than La Redoute?

widgypog · 30/10/2008 19:30

I got some really nice ones from Primark £10!

FrightKnot · 30/10/2008 20:49

Did you find one np?

I am similarly thinking this year...

Tillyscoutsmum · 30/10/2008 21:21

H&M have a few nice ones - about £15 ish

Heated · 30/10/2008 21:29

peacocks

Tillyscoutsmum · 01/11/2008 11:43

Just bought the Peacocks one (above) in black and green and was very impressed for the price.

soyabean · 02/11/2008 15:32

I saw the green one in peacocks yesterday:really nice and not too thick and chunky, but only one in shop and wrong size for me...
