i do and hate make up, what do you use

I'm boring and use brown eye shadow and dark brown mascara however I have been recommended grey.

ok, what skin tone are you? if you are yellow base use warm browns, golds, etc...
If you are pink skinned use pinks, purples, greys etc
and just to confuse you if you are neutral skin toned the warm colours wont show up as much as cool colours

I have dark brown eyes and wear brown (or dark green sometimes) eyeshadow with some eyeliner and black mascara. Haven't worn lippy in ages. Are you looking to change your look or something?

Yep, I dress my eyes up more than my lips. I have a touch of hazel so I can wear practically any colour eyeshadow, gold or silver are my favourites but also wear a lot of greys or greens, black eyeliner and black mascara as my hair is also very dark.

I like pale pink eyeshadow (Barry M slightly shiny) or lilacs and purples or bitter golds or greens of all types. Silver also works well as an evening thing. I'm olive-skinned with dark hair, if that helps at all.

I have dark brown eyes and love them. you can wear any colour. Electric/ teal blue looks fab. Bright green good.

Pale gold eyeshadow. It's lovely.

And then dark brown shadow smudged along the lashes for evening.

I have very dark brown eyes & rarely wear make up, but when I do, I use dark brown eyeshadow.

I have brown eyes but I do not suit brown eyeshadow at all.

I like a pale silver grey (called Oyster) on the lower lids and a slightly metallic cream (Wheatsheaf) higher up. Black eyeliner and black mascara.

Alternatively for evenings I either use a metallic greeny/gold on the lower lids (very pigment dense) and a skin tone neutral on the upper lids with black liner and mascara or I go for a smoky grey with purple or green eyeliner and black mascara.

ooh thanks, fancy electric blue and bright green . i must use rubbish eyeshadows and once it's on it sort of disappears.

I don't wear eye make up, but like the sound of LaDiDaDi's colours.. I just don't get on with eye make up...

dark eyes and thick lashes, but if I wear eye make up I can't seem to leave my eyes alone or worse they get itchy... so I wear deep red lipstick instead.

I think I would need a make up lesson to get the hang of eye shadow etc.

I also have some creamy eyeshadows in a coral, a light brown and darker brown.

I have a lovely urban decay kit with glitzy colours and tend to use the blue and brown as well as the grey and black for a more vampy look.

I have very dark brown eyes and tend to just wear dark brown or black mascara.

If I'm going out I sometimes wear liquid black eyeliner or dark brown pencil liner.

I never wear eyeshadow these days but on the rare occasion in the past that I did, it was generally browns, golds.

Yes, I use different browns, at the moment it's darkish brown, but can use golds/greens. I use to always wear greys when younger but I find it highlights the dark shadows now .

I wear browns and golds mostly, and sometimes a splash of green (I also have olive skin and it works).

Don't bother with eye liner, but will generally wear black mascara too.

I coud not live without my eyeliner, I think I probably wear too much makeup so was baffled to be told by mumsnetters that I had a natural look. I think that is true if hou compare me to Dame Edna Everage.

I have d. brown eyes, for normal daywear jsut a bit of mazzy, but to glam up green eyeshadow or for a smokey look, grey.

I have brown eyes and find that a dark purple works as well as the browns.... I have a lovely dark purple mascara which is softer than black but a bit more va va voom that dark brown...

(find black eyeliners and/or mascaras too harsh...)

Yes I have to do dark brown eyeliner or mascara and find purple is also good.

Black mascara, mid brown eyeshadow along the lashes- less for day and more for evening. I'm not very good at make up!

I wear gold in the day, well its a browny goldy kind of colour. Then either the same but more and with darker near the lashes then eyeliner for night, or green. Am in need of new make up actually have lost my way a bit and keep sticking to same old stuff though.

I have very dark brown eyes, but have very pale skin and red hair - where did that combination come from!! I'm stuck with greys and browns for my eyes - even went for a makeup lesson hoping for more inspiration, but they just recommended the same.
