In or out of boots? Are bootcut flares a no-no now? Are we supposed to be wearing skinny? Turnups? Ohh what a minefield!!!

I like flares, but can't seem to find them in the shops now - it seemed they were only in for one season.

I think those 3/4 turnups look awful...

Ameriscot2005 · 10/03/2005 09:09

Georgina - try Tesco Extra. They have traditional jeans for £4. Can't go wrong really.

GeorginaA · 10/03/2005 09:19

SleepyJess - I am stick thin. And trust me. They don't suit me either.

£4 in Tescos?! I'm there!

Cant do turnups, they make me look like I have elephantitus. Inside boots is a struggle too for me as I am too curvy. Love bootcut, current favourites are M&S stretch bootcut & their PerUna range of jeans. They seem to be made for women with larger bottoms and smaller waists.

nutcracker · 10/03/2005 12:29

All the jeans in my local H&M , adults and kids are buy 2 pairs and get a fiver off at the mo. Don't know if it is in all stores, but thought it was worth a mention.

Gobbledigook · 10/03/2005 12:34

Agree Bugsy2 - I've got a fab pair of per una jeans - bootcut and lowish rise waist but they fit! I find most are really gaping round my waist, especially Next ones - they are made for square people!

biglips · 10/03/2005 12:37

i cant wear hipster jeans as ive got a curvy back and stick out bum and its fitted on my legs and front bit fine apart from the back as its sticks out

Gobbledigook · 10/03/2005 12:39

Biglips - me too, try Per Una - they work for me!

Bugsy2 · 10/03/2005 12:45

Goobledigook, you are so right about Next - cannot wear their trousers at all. I think almost every pair of trousers I currently own comes from Per Una or the M&S jeans range. So get in there biglips & start shopping.

biglips · 10/03/2005 12:48

i will - thanks !

one of my friends wears hipsters jeans and she only wears thongs but she cant help it if it showing as she doesnt do it on purpose as she actually feels embarrassed showing her thongs so imagined that she get fined for that, she'll be shock and have to wear big knickers instead

bundle · 10/03/2005 13:03

sj it was in some farflung state of US, Indiana or something?
Not over here, imagine the cost, they would rake in more than speed cameras around here at least!
So talk me out of a pair of Diesels anyone?
Just put thru knees on my trusted M+S 4 yr old jeans and have been given an open wallet to buy a new pair.
Some direction anyone? I'm heading for seriously cool stuff as have enough comfy kid friendly trousers!
