I want to buy one of these - you know like the ones made by Diane von Furstenberg or whatever her name is, but hopefully a bit cheaper!!!!! Has anyone bought one recently?

It's a size 10, too . Usually a med-big 12.

Bearess · 09/03/2005 13:55

even better!!

Peckarollover · 09/03/2005 16:23

I have a belt fetish - love them especially this seasons chunky styles. I wear a brown chunky belt with my plain brown wrap dress

Bugsy2 · 09/03/2005 16:49

NDP, which section of Debenhams - need to know. Feel serious therapy spree coming on.

PRO - exactly what I was thinking and also cream wrap dress with big brown knitted belt tied really loose. Big embroidered knitting bag (monsoon/accesorize style)... ooh lovely

dyzzidi · 09/03/2005 16:53

I look terrible in these dresses as they are not meant for people withe boobs. As I wear an F cup the only one which didn't flash everything was three sizes too big and then it swamped me around the waist
I think they look Fab by the way so good luck ladies!

TheVillageIdiot · 09/03/2005 16:55

I thought they were perfect for boobs as they are v-necked. V Neck = good for the ample chest. I'm a 36c so not particularly small

India Knight swears by them in her book "The Shops"

that fact probably enough to put some posters off..

i'm also worried about unravelling. and have enough loose clothes to sink a ship, so am avoiding this trend.

nutcracker · 09/03/2005 17:28

I love the look of them but am not sure they would look great on. Should try one i spose.

I loved the strapless sticky out dresses out last year, but they looked hideous on me. I was all boobs and nowt else.

Peckarollover · 09/03/2005 17:30

I find them quite flattering but give me very different shape to what Im used to. Quite curvy and womanly which is what I normally try to avoid!

Bearess · 09/03/2005 17:46

ks, was a very exciting b/day, eat all you want down the local Chinese

But you can't wear them with a belt can you if they have a tie bit - surely?

nailpolish · 09/03/2005 18:11

NomDePlume · 10/03/2005 12:02

Mine is a Red Herring one from Debenhams, £35 (bargain). They also have some lovely Jasper Conran ones in, but they were £60 which was more than my budget

Red Herring selection

NomDePlume · 10/03/2005 12:03

congrats on the 10lb

NomDePlume · 10/03/2005 12:05

NomDePlume · 10/03/2005 12:07

Feeling bold ? I love the shape of this Warehouse one

hoxtonchick · 10/03/2005 12:07

i've got a lovely one from topshop (brown with funky 70s pattern). i'm quite tall, big boobs & a size 16 & i think it's a really flattering shape. like beety, i wear a vest with it during the day. no belt either.

nutcracker · 10/03/2005 12:17

Do they really hide your tummy ?? They look they would make mine look worse.

Thank you all for so many leads. Am so excited about going shopping on Saturday: Debenhams & Oasis here I come!!!! Had a quick look in High St Ken yesterday and got very distracted in Kew. It is my latest favourite shop, think I may have to spend time there too on Saturday.
Love this new Style thread, could talk about clothes for hours.
