I hate the new haircut (so no need to be nice about it).

The pink hair pic on my profile gives you an idea of face shape.

The other one is the new hair so you have an idea of what we are working with!!!

My hair has a natural kink.

HELP ME!!!!!

I have an appointment on Tuesday to rectify it.

It's not funky enough for you, does look very sensible!

FlameThrowersKillZombies · 25/10/2008 10:37

I don't know what to do with it I just want to hide and cry for the next 6 months

i agree its too mumsy or something
have you played about with hair putty on anything, can you get it more funky?

FlameThrowersKillZombies · 25/10/2008 11:02

Right - so I have managed to go from

this to more late 80s sixth former at grange hill (see profile)

I think I could leave the house like that. It would be better with the streaks though... and leg warmers

whats it like if you straighten it yourself?
it would make it look longer

FlameThrowersKillZombies · 25/10/2008 11:21

It just went all freaky and flyaway straightened

well, i think its a better shape now than in the purple pic, if thats any consolation

FlameThrowersKillZombies · 25/10/2008 11:34

I like the top pic, i do think they have cut too much fringe though, i would get the rest razored a bit to give some texture as at the moment it is looking too much like a mullet type shape.

I think you need it more choppy, then you can wear it messy.

BloodSuccaPucca · 25/10/2008 11:52

A bit like this here

ShowOfHands · 25/10/2008 12:01

The thing is, in my extremely limited opinion, with the sort of hair you have and a cut this short or shorter, it's always going to be a bit labour intensive. I'd try not to have too much taken off on Tuesday and grow it a bit longer so you can wash and go.

Razoring it a bit would be better I think, make it a bit funkier. It's a perfectly legitimate and nice haircut btw, just get the feeling you're a bit more exciting than that hair.

And you're very pretty.

FlameThrowersKillZombies · 25/10/2008 12:15

Thank you SoH - no-one has ever said that to me before

Right - so Tuesday I just need a bit of lightening/chopping rather than a full on cut. The hairdresser only saw me with a hat, but just from that glance she mentioned it having a wave and was obv mulling over options, so I am very confident that she knows what she is doing.
