Please help me find jewellery to mark my special birthday

Ok, so I have about 200 quid left from my birthday and wanted to get some kind of jewellery that I can keep as a memento of my special birthday and the fact that I've survived a really hard time - preferably a ring but maybe a bracelet. But I haven't seen anything I like so far.

I'm going to London for the weekend in a few weeks and thought I could look there but haven't ever been to London shopping before so don't know where to start.

So can you help me find something nice by recommending places to look in London or anything you've seen on the web?

Oooh shopping.

Okay

Plain metal/cocktail ring/discreet diamond/funky modern ?

AuntieMaggie · 24/10/2008 15:47

willing to consider anything - but something I can wear with most things

and nothing too delicate

It's been a while since I was in the area but this might be worth a look Hatton Garden area if you are in London anyway.

2nd vote for Hatton Garden area but not sure how many of the shops are open at the weekend. Faringdon tube is the closest if that helps.

I second Tiffany. Love the stuff and most items are a true classic.

Trollbeads are gorgeous. I had a bracelet for my Birthday a few weeks ago. It is a charm bracelet that you can get so many beautiful silver, gold & glass charms for. I love mine & can't wait for Christmas when I will (hopefully!) have a new charm.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions = looks like it's going to be a long day jewellery shopping which is great for me! x

I have one of these bracelets, you can get people to buy you the beads to add as presents for birthday/Xmas etc - it's lovely and special. I love mine. It's chunky! And you can wear it every day, it's not flimsy and you don't ever feel like it could break.

Think you can out the trollbeads on the chain too.

AuntieMaggie · 25/10/2008 18:55

both the troll beads and pandora bracelets are lovely!
