do you have to wear 'dressy' to a late afternoon wedding?

i was thinking of buying this, not off ebay though as its cheaper in the shop. I have a grey wooly waistcoat, long grey/blue velvet coat and thought maybe grey tights (or purple...)

The only problem is I have knee high black boots.......

I cant bear to spend m,oney on a dressy dress I will never wear again

what colour are the dots? match a necklace to them and the tights.

patent bag - cheap somewhere. for some high shine.

i went to a 2 pm wedding last week and wore grey/black dress

there was a huge mixture of stuff from cocktail and spangly to what i wore

nothing is specified in the invite. They are having canapes followed by the night do.

Boots are leather and suede. Leather shoe bit with suede to knee with 3 leather buckles They are clarks so not too radical.....I also have other boots actually that are all leather and a bit more conservative but they hurt my feet

I have some POM silver/purple dress jewellery that would match

it sounds failry relaxed if it is canapes and an evening do

i reckon anything goes - dres yourself up with some fab accessories

so its a 'yes' but no to the wooly waistcoast?

it came today. The spots are actually lime, turquoise, pink and white...
coat is velvet turquiosy/grey blue with a limey green lining

dont know what colour tights to go for now...or scarf

dress is lovely though and doesnt look that casual tbh
