MY DH has declared his ETERNAL LOVE FOR A LAMP

louis poulsen by poul henningson. A design masterpiece.

Could he not just find any old Ikea lamp?
Sorry, forgot, we dont HAVE ikea here. Now he talks about how to furnish our house with lights. And have led lights embedded in the floor. And lights that turns on and off by sensing body heat.

I despair.

He should have kept himself to mad cycle rides.

They have ones like that in Ikea though.
Pah, men!

QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:00

Did you see the price on that thing, though?

OP posts:
yousaidit · 21/10/2008 22:00

but it looks like it's from ikea... hmm, i'd tell him kerry katonas got one

nickytwoooohtimes · 21/10/2008 22:02

HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD!
SWEET BABY JESUS AND ALL THE ORPHANS!

Um, that is quite dear, aye.

NotAnOtter · 21/10/2008 22:03

get the copper one ...lush

QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:04

This is the ikea one slightly cheaper.

It looks nothing like it.

OP posts:
QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:04

good job we cant afford it anyway.

OP posts:
mazzystartled · 21/10/2008 22:04

It is utterly gobsmackingly beautiful
your dh has great taste
It is f* all like the Ikea ones
You might be able to persuade him into a norm 69 instead

lost me with the leds tho

QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:07

He has actuallly been looking at that one as a cheaper alternative. It is only a couple of hundred pounds. even that is a lot to spend on a lamp....

foxinsocks · 21/10/2008 22:07

oh lordy, I love lamps too . That's not my fave though but I can see its appeal.

trixymalixy · 21/10/2008 22:11

I lust after those artichoke lights.

It'll be the first thing i buy when I win the lottery .

shopaholicDIVA · 21/10/2008 22:12

wow, how much?
rather pay off my mortgage
may be then
its beautiful though, got some taste.

mazzystartled · 21/10/2008 22:12

no norms are £70 or so, £50 for a small one
you have to sit and construct them yourself, like origami, its fun
[we have one in our front room]

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:14

I like it too QS

would make a statement wouldn't it?

QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:14

I like the enigma 425 and the snowball

OP posts:
QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:15

It would make a statement. Not sure what that statement would be. I have to think about that.

I am too big for my house/boots.
I have more money than sense
We are design connouseurs

?

OP posts:
QuintessentialShadow · 21/10/2008 22:16

the last one was tongue in cheek.
