Has anyone ever had them removed? If so, how, did it hurt and did they come back? I have hundreds of the things, mostly on my neck and as I age (ahem) I'm starting to feel like a warty old woman. I had them frozen once at the Wart clinic, but hardly any of them fell off, so am considering paying to have them removed by laser. But it's bloody expensive, so would like to talk to someone with experience.
TIA (have posted this in Health too)

My sil had about 10 lazered off recently, all around her neck. They came off beautifully.

I got a couple of my neck a few months ago - got it done at my GPS - frozen off with liquid nitrogen. Bit nippy when they first did it, but not too bad. Would recommend it. Perhaps they didn't freeze them enought first time?

elsiep - did it hurt, do you know?
Lal - I think I will ask at GPs first - the dr who did it last time just sort of waved the spray over my neck.

No, she reckoned it didn't hurt - and she's a right wuss, believe me.

i had loads reoved from under my arms. the gp did it, he injected each and every one, with numbing stuff, (dont know what) and then cut them off with a hot knife, (cauterised, is it?)

the only part which hurt were the tiny pin pricks when he injected them and a small bit where he hadnt numbed one totally, god that smarted quite alot!!

but i would have it done again tomorrow, i couldnt wear deoderant for about 2 weeks till they healed up, but its not too much of a problem in this weather

cmotdibbler · 15/10/2008 21:35

I had a load of mine cut off - it actually didn't hurt that much and it was dead quick as just a snip with sterile scissors. Think I need to have it done again though

i do still have some, smaller ones which have grown in different places, i keep trying to kill them off though before they get too big.

Most of mine are tiny - they look as if I've been splattered by something and haven't washed my neck! They're also brown, not flesh coloured.
