Don't boden do some kind of slouchy velvet "weekend" trousers? Not tried them meself.

Or trousers made of suiting material, you know charcoal wool style, can be slobby and comfy if a good fit and bootcut/flared. You can get that kind of thing in white stuff, H&M, French Connection.

Don't spill food down them though because then you really look like a tramp.
