Are Debenhams online always this useless?

They've sent me a different top to what I ordered. There is no returns label included in the parcel which there should be and no courier details either. Have been on the phone for the last 10 minutes trying to get through to their "customer care" line.

Last time I bother using them online.

And now I've been cut off!

I've never had any problems, other than sometimes very slow delivery.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Oh my god! Don't get me started on Debenhams.... ordered large set of crockery from them weeks before we moved house. Damn stuff only turned up two days before we went....and then it was all wrong with bits missing and even though we were moving to a different city the useless bloody bastards at customer services said since the order was already in progress they would only be able to deliver the missing/ replacement pieces to original address. Complete balls up..... dreadful organisation and pitiful customer care... wouldn't order so much as a pair of pants from them.......ever again

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 14/10/2008 14:39

Still trying to get through.

They are stupendously shite.

In fact this thread has reminded me they still owe me money from a very long running saga of crapness a couple of months back, won't go into the extremely dull details - but the answer to your op is yes yes yes, they are always useless beyond belief.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 14/10/2008 14:56

Well I finally got through - to Debenhams. Who apparantly won't deal with Debenhams Direct stuff. Why on earth they don't put any sort of contact number on their order slip[ I have no idea.

So then rang Debenhams Direct. They're going to try sending me the top again. Have tried explaining that I think their website has the wrong photo on as the item number for thsi vile top I have matches the item number of the nice top on the www. They won't believe its wrong though and insist on me letting them try to send it again.

I think I've spent as much on phone calls as the damm top cost!

I had one of the most upsetting shopping experiences of my life with them!! No details, but it was so utterly crap and I ended up being £100 out of pocket.

Never again!

After my 10th call to CS, I asked for a complaints address and was given a PO box. I did a little research and found a site which said they always give a different address to people with complaints (the PO address) and that post received to that PO address was thrown away!
It was an ex-employee who posted all of these shocking things about their behind the scene practices!

Only ordered from them twice. Once I ordered some size 3-4 yr old PJs as an Xmas present for my godson. they sent size 1-2. I called them up and they said 'Sorry, we'd run out of 3-4 size, so thought you might want to try these instead'. What? Two sizes smaller? Gee, thanks.

Other time we ordered our dinign table from them. They copckked up the order, so it wa sonly when I called them to find out why it hasdn't arrived within the specified 3-4 week time period that I found out they had nor record of the order. But then they miraculously found my order number and address etc...they were basically talking a load of shite to me at every opportunity.

MrsMattie · 14/10/2008 16:20

excuse my shocking typing!

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 16/10/2008 18:28

Well the new top came - but for some reason they sent me 2 tops. Still the wrong top. So I now have £90 worth of wrong tops that I've been billed for. Will have to post them back and pray that the parcel gets there.

Debenhams are shite. I refused to phone them from home bdecause I was always on hold or being cut off. Got shirty in-store and used THEIR phone to call up "Customer Services" and cut up my store card for them to hear.
