are you a Trinny/Susannah - or a candidate for their show?

Thought I'd start up a thread on this topic! Do you consider yourself to be a style guru....do you always know what to wear? Or are your friends secretly videoing you to send off footage to Trin and Suze?

I'm certainly a candidate - although I like to think that when I pull out the stops I can be a little bit trendy. to think how high they would haul up my !

Wether or not i can afford to buy what i want wear is a different matter

know what you mean - I have just filled two bin bags with old clothes....have decided the way forward is to accessorise instead of ending up with another white shirt and another pair of black trousers (yawn)

I feel like I'm a bit of both. . .I take risks with clothes, so I make some pitiable mistakes sometimes that would probably make me a perfect candidate for What Not To Wear, but people generally say I have a good sense of style. (Not my mother, though!) Also I identify a bit with Trinny--the past battle with acne & the flat chest & general lack of curves (but for my bulging tummy which is so NOT Trinny) so feel more on her side of things because we share those physical similarities.

Me, I need a makeover. Possibly even an Extreme one. Appear to be stuck in limbo as my youth retreats and I gaze horrified into the oncoming headlights of middle age

expatkat - I feel the same - I too have the bulging tummy but the flat chest....dont have Trin's short legs though so cant copy her look completely! My mother looks me up and down and raises her eyebrows if I wear black (I'm a "warm autumn" dont you know and so is she - and she religiously only wears camel/olive green/mustard etc etc)!

MI, it IS hard to be sort of on the cusp of middle age. I try not dress too young, but inevitably I do sometimes, which is probably exactly the kind of thing that could get me on the program. But basically I refuse to view myself as anything other than late 20s (which, er, is more than a little off) and I think the fact that I really do view myself as young helps me to look a bit younger and pull off looks that are younger than my chronological age if that makes sense.

Harrogatemum: I guess we're in the same half-in half-out style camp. I so wish I had the sort of body where the excess fat actually went to the right places. I'm in the process of losing the tummy at the moment, which means it's been a little while since someone asked me if I'm pregnant, thank goodness.

Expatkat, got it in one. I just think one day I'll wake up and find I'm just, well, mutton.

I thought I was more of a critic than a fashion disasster.... until I went to pick up DS from school yesterday wearing bright green wellies with pink polka dots, his reaction.... mam you look like a geek!

Fashion disaster area. Not through choice though. If I had money to spend on clothes I bet I would look divine darling!
If someone gave me £1000 to spend on clothes a la What not to wear I would probably spontaneously combust with joy!

I am regularly bewlidered that I still have not accumulated a classic timeless capsule wardrobe and continually peer in the drawers for things that go together.

I never really got the hang of shopping for more than one item or an outfit or a "look". I would be delighted to go on that programme and wouldn't care how much they prodded or poked me as long as they realised that my job is spending all day with two active little boys so easy on the kitten heels and chiffon

I identify with suzannah most with her big knockers!I often dress like her as the deep v does minimise a large bust and looks quite sexy too I wish I had her clothes collection though as I don't spend half as much as I used to

I'm a candidate for the show. They'd just freak if they could see me today. Sloppy jog bottoms, vest top (with bra showing underneath) and hair pulled up in Lizzie Bardsley style. And you know what - I couldn't give a stuff.

I would love to be Trinny and Susannahed, that would be my dream come true. I always struggle with colour so usually end up in black. Now I've lost weight I don't really know what styles suit me now or even before looking at my size before I just brought it cause the shop had it in my size

id love to go on it. I have no shame and would love to get my hands on 2grand.

I'd like to think I was a guru but would love to go on just to see what they think I should wear compared to what I do wear iyswim

Hmmmmmmm, I'm not a syle guru in that I'm a total fashion victim. In fact, I hardly ever wear stuff that's in fashion. I certainly don't buy clothes because they're the latest style, I buy them because I know the shape suits my figure. I know it'll look half decent regardless whether it was Autumn/Winter 1998 or smack-bang up to the minute catwalk stuff. I like that I'm not a fashion victim. So I wouldn't say that I was either.

Beetroot - can you help me? My legs are nice, my arms okish, great tits but a big sticky out stomach which can make me look pregnant. What can I wear to disguise it and enhance my best features???

Although as SAHM, I do tend to look frumpy and comfy for the majority of the week. Sometimes flattering gorgeus stuff just isn't suited to SAHM-dom.
