Ok totally fed up of middle parting hair and desperately want a 'style' as such. Have never had a fringe but quite fancy a side sweepy number but eeeek I am scared. Anyone suggest any magazines or websites where I can pour over said fringes?

I usually just look in a desperate last minute panic at the hairdressers.

But mags like heat and wotnot might help I suppose

How about having a side parting for a while to ease you in gently? How long is your hair?

Every time I've had a fringe cut in I've regretted it instantly as I have combination skin and my forehead gets really oily with a fringe.

So make sure you really want it done!

Celeb magazines are a good place to start because actual hair magazines sometimes feature old fashioned looking quiffy fringes.

I had the kate moss fringe cut a few months ago and love it because it can be a full fringe, or I can sweep it to side. Actual side-fringes are easy to grow out (and infact after you have it done within a few weeks you'll be thinking about getting a fringe trim!)

Here are a few side fringe looks:

one

two

three
