I really want this Per Una cardi.. but is it too messy looking?

no you didn't...I've been taken in by such things a number of times (the M&S was just the last in a line of those things) and always been disappointed - I should have asked first too

i too get distracted by fussier clothes but am learning that when you're small - simple plain clothes do look better.
