Cosmetics as birthday gifts for friends

Both of whom are in their 30s, stylish, intelligent etc.

I would like to get them a cosmetic something that is very useful and beautiful.

Trouble is the budget - £20 per friend. Any idea? I was eyeing BeneFit stuff but it's a bit pricey.

Please can you help?

Stila? You might be able to pick up a cute little compact lip colour or eye colour for under £20.

Something by Laura Mercier or Shu Emera?

Have you looked at Space NK online?

I got SIL's Molton Brown cosmetic sets at a Macarthur Glen outlet. Was £60, down to £25, Bargain and very classy stuff!

DO you know which brands they use, or if they are allergic to anything?

IME cosmetics are hard presents to give/receive, eg I am strict about using bunny friendly make up (no animal testing), so nothing on your list would be great.
Just a thought...

YSL's duo eyeshadows come in fantastic wearable shades and in a very expensive looking, yet practical gold compact. They are around £22.
