Right, first time asking for help in this section so be gentle

DH has given me a budget of £200 but I can't imagine spending that much, I'm a cheapskate! But he has just bought himself one for that so feels guilty!

I am currently a 12/14 (post-preg) but normally a 8/10 so this coat will probably/hopefully only be for this winter as I have smaller ones in the wardrobe

I want to be able to try it on so High Street preferred over catalogues.

I fancy a red one as I always get black/navy coats.

I'm short (5,4) so don't want to be drowned in it.

Any tips??

I think they had it in black as well but I am a bit bored of black. I do like brown just wondered if it was a bit out? Also I have brown hair and brown winter boots to wear it with so maybe too much. I will try it on again tommorow and post a pic if I get it! I quite fancy that cheapo ASDA one as well just becasue I love a bargain - am not near an ASDA though, what is the quality like? I hate winter coats that bobble.

am going to try to get to asda later for a look, almost worth buying regardless at that price though!

i don't think brown is out, but i am no fashionista!!!
maybe too much with everything else? not if you're wearing non-brown trousers and top i would think...

right, just back from asda, and the coat is fab
bought the size 12, the 10 fit too but only have a shirt on today, decided with a cardi on i wanted a little extra room. plus i have size 10 coats in the cupboard!
i think it's great and would say everyone should get one asap!

oh no they are going to sell out before I get there!!! How tight was the 10 - I might order one but not sure whether 10 or 12 as well. I am short, 10 on top, 8 bottom but rather chesty. 12's tend to be too big on the shoulders. Would you say the 10 came up big or small!!

This is how public hysteria starts isn't it - I must have one

JustKeepSwimming · 13/10/2008 12:58

i would think the 10 should fit then, how chesty?
if that's not too rude!

I'm a c/d cup at the mo and the 10 was fine around the top.

yes, you MUST get one! actually i thought they would have run out but there quite a few but only in 10 or 12 that i could see.

good to hear - I'm also C/D. I'm not very near an ASDA and the car is in the garage so I have just ordered one online. Meant I had to pay delivery charge but got some babygros and PJ's for the DC which they needed as well. Hope I like it as much as you do and thanks for the sterling effort of actually going out and buying one and reporting back on the same day! V impressive.

my asda coat arrived today, ordered online, I am very hard to please but it is amazing for the price. I got a 10 which fits me perfectly (unusual) and as am a shortie (5ft) the length is perfect on me - just above knee length (might be a bit short for a tall person). Ok the material may go a bit bobbly eventually but it is certainly not Primark level and looks great - I am stunned how good it is for £15.

Glad it arrived and you are happy with it, i still love mine too
