decent book on "doing your colours"?

I wouldn't mind having my colours done but worry about shelling out £100 + for some odd woman to tell me something that in the end doesn't make much sense. would rather get a book about it and try things out slowly... there's a colours section in a Trinny and Suzannah book someone gave me but it doesn't make much sense - it looked as if I could be any one of a number of types (only colours I really can't seem to wear are yellowy-orangey-peachy colours)

so can anyone recommend a book that helped them?
