I want to buy a long down coat - will I regret it?

Like the ones they've got in Lands End. I'm 5' 10 size 16-18 - will it make me look huge?? They do have one with the padded bits in a chevron pattern - sposedly to make you look less fat. But it's £149! I will prob use it every day though on the school run - is it worth it? I'm in Scotland - so maybe a cold winter??

I have an h&m padded coat & when it's cold I don't care if I look big in it!

Hmm. Looks like she's wearing a duvet.

can you sit down comfortably in them? A hip/bum lenght one would be more flattering

It was really to keep my legs dry - I've got a really nice white short one (only a wee bit padding) - but my legs get drenched.

this one?
yes it will make you look huge, and it isn;t really waterproof either

get a stadium squall

They are really difficult to carry off.

I'm not at all sure that the fur-collared style is a good idea - can you not find one that doesn't have the furry collar?

TracyK · 10/10/2008 14:19

I'll keep looking. Drat!! Don't really like the squall one - too sporty looking.

I have the stadium squall. It's fab for school runs and dog walking. Never had such a good coat for keeping out the elements and keeping me warm.
