So... am I too old to wear skinny jeans ?

What do you think ?

I'm 40 (eek) and just bought a pair yesterday from Topshop (size 10 ).

But are they too young for me, is it just young girls who wear them ?

DD said they looked 'OK'( in that long drawn out tone ...) but I should only wear them with boots and never with pumps. Is she right at 11 or should I just take them back ??

i think an 11 year olds default position is to be hideously embarrased by their parents ...

I'm 40 next year < yikes > and wear skinny jeans.

My 11 ds looks at me like this when I wear them, but to be honest just exsisting on the same planet seems to cause him great embarrassment at the moment.

Nope you wear them if they make you feel good and look good in them.

If youd bought a cropped boob tube or a pantsuit i would have said maybe (btw i dream about having a pantsuit but am too old at 33, i think theyre for below 24 year olds only lol).

I just remember my dad 25 years ago snorting whenever he saw me in my skinnies... or Max Walls as he insisted on calling them

I remember sewing them up to make them even tighter, they were almost impossible to get over my ankles. Thank god for lycra these days !!!

If a Topshop size 10 fits you you can definitely wear them

I got some last week from next. I am 40 in 4 months and they feel so fine (make me feel slim, sexy and with it)! Though feel too self conscious wearing shoes with them (size 7 feet I look like a mime artiste) boots better but it makes such a nice change. Been in bootcuts for last 10 years so it is time for a CHANGE

I think you need them o make the current shapes of other things like shoes and tops work.I wear them and I'm 43

skinny jeans are great IMO (i am 38) - mainly with boots in my case but i love them with tunics - plus if you have good tops you can get away with cheapo jeans since (with boots) only a small portion of them are visible in any case

I wear them and I'm 43. I actually think they're much easier to get away with than some other trendy styles (boyfriend cut, huge flares etc.) because you can wear them with a really nice pair of boots and baggy tops.
