Help meeeeee..... to navigate Regent Street?

Last time I was in London, I made a special trip to Regent Street to visit two shops we don't have up here: Cos, and Banana Republic. I walked the entire length and could I find them? Could I heck.

Can anybody tell me where these shops are, preferably using another major shop as a reference point, Hamley's for instance.

I'll be walking from Oxford Street.

Many many thanks

They are very near Hamleys, if you were facing Hamleys front door they are both to the left.

Banana Republic is right next to Libertys iirc (not from London!)

There is only a handful of shops between the two of them.

Cos is a fab shop.

Near Oxford Circus tube

GAAAH that means I managed to walk right past them, as I always have a good peer in Liberty's window as I mosey along.

Thanks v much - suspect I will be merely browsing but can't wait to get there. Think of me on Friday!!

Lol - I have just looked them up Cos is at 222 Regent Street and BR is 224! (although I think the road that Liberty is actually down might separate them from memory!).

BR has steps up to the entrance.

Good luck on Friday!! Wish it was me!

You can print a google map from BR website. HTH

The Street Sensation website
shows you exactly which shops are where.

I think they're both in the building that used to house Dickens and Jones if that helps. I still mourn the passing of Dickens and Jones...sigh.

I haven't been to either shop yet BTW (birth of DD has put paid to my usual shopping addiction). Are they any good? Is Cos very pricey?

MorrisZapp · 08/10/2008 13:19

BR is pricey and quite formal. I've only been there in the USA and still found it pricey! But it is lovely stuff, and they do men's too so I might find an early xmas pressie for ludicrously fussy DP.

Cos, I know nothing about but have seen it mentioned so many times in mags and looks to be semi-reasonably priced.

Who knows, in these credit crunch times they might be running some special promotions... here's hoping

I didn't think some of the stuff was too overpriced. The website has a snap shot of stuff here - click on pics for colours and prices.

Bot, that link is absolutely genius! Easy peasy now. Many many thanks.

Oops obviously I was referring to COS.

I was in BR the first weekend it was open. I am sure I was rubbing shoulders with slebs! I kept getting funny looks from a gay couple I am sure they thought I was a stalker - everywhere they were I was too! LOL. I bought my dad some socks which were £6. Tis owned by GAP

RamblingRosa · 08/10/2008 14:39

Can't open that link for some reason. Don't have flash at work Maybe I'll have to pop down there and have a look for myself next week. I don't have money but a girl can window shop/dream!

MorrisZapp · 12/10/2008 15:59

Well I'm home now, knackered but triumphant! Had a wonderful trip to London, including a 7 hour shopping/ browsing/ sipping hot choccy marathon in the gorgeous Autumn sun

BR is absolutely beautiful but a bit too dressy/ formal/ pricey for me. I bought my DP a lovely pair of boxers there which he loves though - great packaging so an ideal gift for £12.

Cos, not so sure. Was smaller then I expected and all the clothes seemed to be gray, nowt wrong with that of course. I bought 4 long sleeved cotton tops in Uniqlo, I swear the quality is the same as Boden and they cost £8 each.

Best of all was browsing the beautiful shops and cafes of St Pancras station. They have a Fat Face there you know!

They also have the world's best shoulder bag in the Fossil shop there (have trawled net for link but no luck). It costs £145 so I just fondled it and put it back. DP will get it for my xmas - can't wait.

Anyway I consoled myself with one of their adorable eco-shoppers, which looked quite the part when I hit Whole Foods Market in High Street Ken!!!

I'm not rich or posh but I just love to pretend I am

I LOVE LONDON!!!!

Glad you had a nice time. I work near Whole Foods Market and it's lovely isn't it? Not that I can afford to shop there very often...
