Hey all you fashionistas - help me find something for ds2's wedding

I tried on a dress and jacket in Phase Eight but now the blardy bride's mother has gawn and bought it.

I'm very hard to please!

I'm trying to look online so I have an idea when I hit the shops (for the second time!)

Any ideas where to look? I've looked at Coast and Hobbs and want something that sort of quality.

I await my personal shoppers

Lovely dress here. Not sure what you'd wear with it though.
Or how about some combination of dress, jacket, skirt?

JoolsToo · 06/10/2008 22:50

quite like the velvet stuff Jackie - thanks!

Yes, you are too old for fashion so just wear this and have done with it

ROFL

Fimbo · 06/10/2008 23:06

this?.

My very posh aunt buys lots from there.

JoolsToo · 07/10/2008 12:40

I'm ignoring you gobble ....

Fimbo I really rather like that! I'd prefer a straighter skirt tho - going for a mooch!

yes like the jacket on that, not so much the skirt

JoolsToo · 07/10/2008 20:57

I've sent you a coupla black jackets! (gobble)

Replied requesting weekend itinery

SorenLorensen · 07/10/2008 21:22

I love that velvet stuff (not the dress, neckline is too high) but the skirt and jacket are gorgeous - that's the sort of thing I was looking for last year but couldn't find anywhere.

Have you got your outfit, GDG?

JoolsToo · 07/10/2008 22:22

Gobble is a bridesmaid SL or matron of honour I should say!

SorenLorensen · 07/10/2008 22:23

That's easier - someone else decides what you have to wear.

I want to see pictures of this wedding, btw!

StressedoutGobbledigook · 07/10/2008 23:18

My dress is fabbo - I love it (although it's not arrived yet and it should be here by now - panic!)

chipmonkey · 08/10/2008 00:29

Just tell the mother of the Bride the outfit looks awful on her! That will sort it!

JoolsToo · 08/10/2008 20:22

that's really helpful chip!

I'll probably put some photos on FB

SIL got a fab dress recently for an Autumn wedding. I'll email her tomorrow and ask where. She's tucked up in her bed now!
GDG, what's the bridemaids dress like? V. unusual to find a bridesmaid that LIKES her dress. My BM's hated theirs! My dsis was very annoyed at having to wear make-up and shoes that weren't Doc Martens IIRC, there was even talk of covering a pair of DM's to match the dress!
