they come in black, too.

i wants them.

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 05/10/2008 19:48

OK, you might not believe me, but I bought some FAB boots from sainsburys!!! They were £45 reduced to £32 in the 25% sale they do from time to time, two weeks ago.

They are dark brown real leather, with buckles at the top, and at the ankle, and are slightly slouchy, just below the knee, 2inch chunky heal (guess at height). very fashionable, great with skinny jeans. Lots of people have commented on how great they look, even those fashionable people that would never buy from such places as Sainsburys!!!! I just don't tell em where I bought em from .

I was most impressed. I usually find boots from the cheaper places fit badly and look awful, but these are just right,, they are slouchy enough to hide my skinny ankles and due to the style don't bag around my calfs, which I often find, even with very expensive boots.

Wear em with a pair of Miss Sixty jeans, sorted. (oh, they went bust, means you can buy em on the cheap too!).

frazzledfairy · 05/10/2008 19:48

i have very similar from office, £70 (in black and brown)

NoblesseOblige · 05/10/2008 19:51

miss sixty went bust? when WAS this?

we have sainsburys near me...might take a gander...oooh am excited! this is first time i have had a little spree all for me in YEARS and am irrationally thrilled

Few days ago....they went into Liquidation...according to DH, he shouted it from the front room whilst watching the news. I unfortunately have not had the time to go check it out....but tomorrow lunch time....I have a Miss Sixty Jeans dept in our debenhams, I sure they will have a sale!!!

Debenhams is also good. Apparantly they have this day called....oh shit I cant remember...I will think of it, but it is like twice a month. It is not ever advertised as such, but its a day where for the entire day they slash up to 70% off everything, including stuff already reduced. I was told about it when I was looking for blinds, assistant from another floor told me to go pick the ones I want, then go ask someone not in that dept when these days were, then go back on those days and get an absolute bargain....

Lauriefairycake · 05/10/2008 19:59

oooh expat, those boots are fab!

expatinscotland · 05/10/2008 20:00

i loves them, Laurie.

i want the brown ones sooooooo much.

ooooo.

we didn't get a single number on the Lotto last night, though.

grrrr .

CherryChapstick · 05/10/2008 20:00

Ah,but have you seen these?

anyfucker · 05/10/2008 20:32

expat, I bought those exact Bronx boots last week

they are very trendy and I love 'em

BUT

  1. they are not waterproof. I know this from experience, still drying em out after a day of pissing rain yesterday

  2. and they are a bloody pain to get on your feet, I do not have thick ankles but they are a squeeeeeze to get on as there is no zip and the inside of the leather is kinda sticky so the boots drag on your socks and your toes end up v squashed. So, no good if you are shopping for clothes/shoes as you would end up on the changing room floor, squiming around lol

these things aside, they are fab

expatinscotland · 05/10/2008 23:24

oh, anyfucker! thank you! i've been building them up in my mind way too much.

i'm so glad to hear they are falliable.

anyfucker · 05/10/2008 23:33

best to keep it real eh ?

expatinscotland · 05/10/2008 23:50

yes, that's why i'm so glad they fit poorly .

CharleeInChains · 05/10/2008 23:54

I waas just going to post a similar thread!
FIL has given us some money so DP is geting his PS3, the boys are having a new aquadraw and a scaletrix. Were replacing our camera and that leaves £200 for ME!

I really want some skiboots, i don't ski i just think they look so cosy in this shite wether were having, and i'm deffo getting a really chunky, cable knit cardigan from H&M for only £15! Yay shopping!

(SOrry if i sound like a muppet but i never get to buy lots of clothes for myself and i am a little to excited for anyones good! [blush)

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 00:06

oo lovely charlee

enjoy!

Tinker · 06/10/2008 00:11

Have got these which are similar to expat's These are waterproof. Am now on to 3rd winter with them. Found mine 1/2 price in TK MAxx.

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 00:14

tinker, you can go off some people.....

expatinscotland · 06/10/2008 15:15

oh, i like those, Tinker. except for that fur in there.

damn. not my style, though.

Tinker · 06/10/2008 19:28

lol expat. "I like them except for everything about them"

expatinscotland · 06/10/2008 20:21

bet they're warm, though, Tinker!

Dropdeadfred · 06/10/2008 20:25

i like those but not the fur bit...

any others..i want some buckly boots!!!

NoblesseOblige · 07/10/2008 13:51

am still bootless! boohoo

i tried an obscene amount of pairs but none were right

i LOVED the look of the caterpillar ones but was determined the budget would not stretch that far. after a couple of hours desperation and frustration was setting in...i tried on the cats...FECKING UNCOMFORTABLE!!! [ANGRY]

i was both cross and relieved.

on a separate matter though, i did buy very funky tartan skinny trews

OP posts:
Samantha28 · 07/10/2008 14:06

really ? tartan trousers?

NoblesseOblige · 07/10/2008 14:07
