I quite fancy one in plain black, very simple.
I wear a lot of little cardies in the winter.
worth it, or not? should I save up for a more expensive one?

based on last year i'd say m&s cashmere superior - cardis/jumpers £49.50.

harpsichordcarrier · 04/10/2008 20:52

oh good thanks, I do have some M&S vouchers actually

expatinscotland · 04/10/2008 20:52

Personally, I'd pass it up.

I'd rather have better quality cashmere or none at all.

I have two v-necked cashmere jumpers from 1988 that are still going strong.

But they were not cheap at all.

Mercy · 04/10/2008 20:53

Tracey, what didn't you like about them?

ZakuroFujiwara · 04/10/2008 20:55

I think they are rubbish. Was crapola after 2 washes (and I am something fo a domestic goddess in the laundry dept so don't think I washed them badly). Waste of money.

harpsichordcarrier · 04/10/2008 20:55

like this?

thing is, expat, I can't really afford a more expensive one. it would be a cheap one, or nothing

traceybath · 04/10/2008 20:55

just thought the cashmere was very thin and cheap - m&s just washed and wore a lot better.

in my opinion m&s compared well to brora.

harpsichordcarrier · 04/10/2008 20:57

I did have two brora cardies once in a sort of lavender colour and in a pale green too
ah happy days

yoshimi · 04/10/2008 20:57

I've got one of the Sainsbury's cardis, not as good as say Brora but definitely as good as other more expensive high st cashmere.
