DD is 16 months old and needs a wintery and lovely warm coat for playing out at nursery

Need something practical and washable, waterproof and warm. I was quite taken with a blue swing style one in M & S here
but wool, therefore not washable so a pretty unwise choice.

I would never buy myself a padded coat with fur round the collar so unsure about
and its white!

kinda like this one but its sooo pink!

Wondered about this but is it too puffy?

Anyone got any more ideas?

I like that blue coat but would also buy a cheap but well padded one from Asda for nursery.

artichokes - I saw the jojo one last week - it's nice

Wheelybug - thanks re sizing, DD is on the small side so only just going into 12-18mths stuff now at 18mths

artichokes, liking that jojo one v much.
Have seen a boden one on ebay - red with pink spots which I personally much prefer over this years choices.

Now i just need a quote for a hefty discount off the jojo one...anybody?

dd had one of those puffy boden ones when she was little. it was satisfyingly snug and she could still move.

I have a 15 month old DD and had just the same problem. Looked everywhere, and I mean everywhere!! Can't believe how hard it is to find a decent girls coat. In the end got this.

I know it's very pink but the material is soft and it's thick and cosy without making my daughter into a michelin baby. I love it. (And you can get nice matching hat, gloves and shoes!) Sad mummy alert!

OOh - Saw a nice one too in Tesco the other dy - blue... cute. Will try and find a link to it.

Scumptious, I saw and admired that and would have ordered but they are out of stock in 2-3 ( she has a super long body!). Such a shame as generally really like john lewis stuff - and have £15 in vouchers which would have made it almost free!

I've seen the blue on in Tescos but I would have liked the bigger size for DD and they didn't have it. There was also a spotty bodenesque anorak too, again too small.

I found a nice coat in asda today
direct.asda.com/Spot-Fleece-Jacket/GEM470,default,pd.html but got it home and am hesitating about it about it.

Dh is keen on the Jojo one. I am however slightly worried that it will get lost. Our childminder has previously lost two fleeces of DDs and to lose a £20 coat would be a PITA.
