As above really! I am just wondering whether to give the dress to charity as I can't find any warm way to wear it that looks well.

for instance i have knee length brown linen dress on today. It is dark choc brown with cream accents at collar and hem, short sleeves and is loose fitting. (long tunic stylee)

I am wearing it with dark tights (doesn't matter what exactly, just black or d brown or even d green - tho about 40/60denier brown looketh best)

then thick socks indoors and a pair of mid calf boots outside,

vest and long sleeve t shirt (black/d brown- underneath it, and long beige chunky cardi over the top which just exposes the hem of dress.

i think it looks v nice

others may not..

Ah. Lovely. x posted!

Ok. If you want extra warmth then wear a long sleeved t shirt underneath it.

Tights - you can go for anything related in terms of brownish or pea green or even orange/pink.

Then a longer cardi would work. La redoute have some good combinations similar to this kind of look.

I find wrap dresses harder to do than unfitted but should still work Ok

I have just received off ebay a charles tyrwhitt wrap dress which was advertised as grey print but is in fact cream with a brown circly print.

I am planning on wearing it with a brown cardie, a vest underneath (for modesty and warmth), thick brown tights and knee-high boots.

Thanks again! I have a couple of longish beige cardis and can do black tights/long sleeved t-shirt underneath.

May have to continue my search for maternity tights in other colours or simply invest in some long stockings! Maternity tights only appear to be available in black. I love the idea of thick brown or pea green or orange/pink!

Oh yes...I had forgotten about the 'back only' rule! Maternity tights need a whole nother section on the talk boards

If I see any anywhere I will shout!

Notreallycoping · 04/10/2008 13:31

black, not back..! soz

Upwind · 04/10/2008 13:40

For some odd reason I thought that black with brown would be a bad idea - now having tried it it does look quite well

Still, I shall head into town and see what I can find in terms of long stockings!
