I'm thinking about giving it a try, I am a size 10 but flabby, but I eat alot of cocolate and cakes and feel I need to stop for my skin as well as my falbby belly...

If you have tried it let me know your thoughts and if it worked how long did it work for?

I tried hypnotherapy - only one session and the book 'I can make you thin' with a CD.

Neither made any difference for me I'm afraid.

I went to a Paul Mckenna seminar based on the 'I can make you thin' book. He did a group session with about 600 of us (to give us an example) and told us to choose whatever food was our achilies heel. I concentrated on bars of chocolate (like you cantpickyoufamily, I am not overweight but I was definitely overdosing on chocolate and in secret which is the worst). That was January 26th 2006. I haven't had, nor wanted to have, a piece of chocolate since.

I have found the effects don't last......

I've been hypnotised for insomnia, fear of fflying and weight control. They all worked briefly.

That Paul Mckenna cd is quite good, but as I work full time with a family, it was impossible to find the hour every day to do it. I just got resentful of the time it took.

From my limited knowledge (and limited memory) I think the group thing that I had was a bit of a mixture of suggestion hypnosis, NLP and tapping. I don't remember that much about it, considering how much impact it has had on me. Perhaps the fear of admitting to my DH that the cost of the seminar had all been a waste of the time was what actually worked though . Who knows??

some things maybe need ongoing hypno every so often?

my friend sees my other friend every fortnight, and it has helped him enormously
