Oh yeah, no gap in croydon, that's a strange one. I walked around for ages trying to find it once.

There is even a gap in the new southside centre (aka wandsworth arndale)...

a boyfriend cardigan and ballerina pumps
slouchy boots when it gets colder

SoupDragon · 01/10/2008 14:28

I have to travel to get to Gap - usually Oxford Street.

southeastastra · 01/10/2008 14:33

i think high heels look pretty nice with skinny jeans

nailpolish · 01/10/2008 14:34

OMG !!!

anyfucker · 01/10/2008 18:53

jeez, those All Saints shoes are foul !!

talk about the emperors new clothes!!

and I am usually an AS fan

with skinny jeans I wear converse, close fitting knee length boots and mid calf biker boots. Never trainers and I don't do high heels as I am too tall.

in warmer weather I even wear em with flipflops or Birkenstocks, although if weather is too warm the skinnies get a bit too err, sweaty

Botbot · 01/10/2008 18:57

Isn't there a Gap concession in House of Fraser in Croydon, or have I just made that up?

SoupDragon · 01/10/2008 20:01

Snort @ shoes!

There's a Gap Kids one, botbot. Not sure about adults stuff though.

You're right, you know.

I saw a clown wearing those shoes last week.

fishie · 02/10/2008 09:16

i love skinny jeans but need something substantial on feet to balance out the huge swimming shoulders / muffin top or i look like a carrot. today have long jumper, skinny jeans mid calf flat boots.

minko · 02/10/2008 09:40

Arf at the carrot comparison!! I am being tempted to buy skinnies again now. I think I have bought 2 pairs now only to take them back when I realise how HUGE my arse looks in them. Really like the knee boot/ skinny combo though so maybe I just need to work on how to wear them (ie. cover the huge arse up somehow)

Boots are best imo, to balance out the shape.

I think ballet pumps only work if you are under 18yrs, or if you are under 30 but very tall and skiinny. Even then it looks a bit odd with the narrowness tapering to the absolute flat, but if young and thin can look odd in a 'I'm too cool to care, and I look good in anything kind of way.'

I think you can get away with heels for an evening dressy look, but definitely boots in the day.

calf length, knee length wahtever you prefer, can all look good.

I have just bought some slouchy cowboy boots which are my current favourite with skinny jeans.
