I've just had my first pay cheque as an AST, which means I can afford to treat myself a bit. SO - what would you buy if you had about £100 to spend on yourself?

Things I like -

  • stuff from Origins
  • silk tops or skirts
  • lovely bubble bath
  • stationery
  • mac eyeshadows
  • M&S Limited Collection

Things 'm not excited by -

  • shoes
  • bags

Please help - am going shopping tomorrow and I want to buy things for ME, not for the dds as usually do.

Size 12, dark hair, pale skin, brown eyes, v short, if that helps!

Just go to Mac counter and play for ages

When I was pg with DS1 I bought so much Mac stuff, as I was massive, earning my own money and wanted nice stuff. Love Mac.

JackieNo · 27/09/2008 21:50

I think I'd buy a mixture of something to use, and something that will last. Maybe a visit to Paperchase, and some clothes?

cornsilk · 27/09/2008 21:51

origins and mac
so space NK and selfridges

JackieNo · 27/09/2008 21:53

Monsoon bargain?

twinsetandpearls · 27/09/2008 21:54

Congrtaulations on the AST status.

I went to Debenhams last week and they had some great stuff particularly in the Betty Jackson section.

janeite · 27/09/2008 21:55

Yum Yum to Paperchase. It's in Selfridges, near the Krsipy cremes, so might take a detour! Origins upstairs - what's nice at the mo?

And which Mac eyeshadows are people liking right now? I need to replace my Shale, which I wear virtually everyday - what else is as good? And clothes - but what?

Decisions!

Thanks Twinset.

Sorry Jackie - Monsoon stuff doesn't fit me - am too little!

I would also buy a posh notebook either from paperchase or one of those smart girls get organised ones.

And decent shampoo.

janeite · 27/09/2008 22:57

Decent shampoo? What IS decent shampoo?! I usually use John Frieda - do you mean more decent than that?

Posh notebook is a very good idea, especially as my lovely purple suede one doesn't have many pages left in it. What's a Smart Girls one?

I use redken, have run out atm and waiting for payday and my hair look crap.

twinsetandpearls · 27/09/2008 23:17

can't find a link to the stationary, it is a line of ironic 1950s style stationary. Also do baby books etc/

twinsetandpearls · 27/09/2008 23:23

smart women not girls will see if I can find an actual online shop

twinsetandpearls · 27/09/2008 23:29

here they are, I am lusting after the post it notes

twinsetandpearls · 27/09/2008 23:33

also on amazon with better pictures

twinsetandpearls · 27/09/2008 23:35

The prices on amazon are really good I paid almost double that in one of our little local shops.

janeite · 28/09/2008 15:44

Thanks - tbh I think I prefer the Paperchase stuff.

I went to town and have come back empty handed apart from a pair of "Midnight" blue tights and this in teal.

So, I'm still looking for inspiration please evrybody!

Origins users - does anybody rate the Mega-mushroom stuff?

Does anybody use Urban Decay eyeshadows?

janeite · 28/09/2008 15:47

Everybody - not evrybody.
